Of course, I'll send out the notification email to all the beta testers as usual :)

I am pretty sure everyone will especially love that feature.

Every skin/interface will have a "default" preset, and when the user presses the "New" button, a dropdown menu will appear showing the available skins/interfaces. When the users selects a skin/interface, the UI will change to that interface, and the settings will be set to the "default" preset set for that skin/interface.

In the current skin I'm working on, there's only:

1 additive osc
1 LP24 analog filter
1 amp envelope
1 filter envelope

That's it. Just like a Moog, but instead of 3+1 oscillators (counting the noise as an osc as well), we have 8 oscillator here, so that one can create hypersaws easily :)

Tomorrow I'm gonna post the screenshot for this skin.

Hi again fellas!

I think I had earlier said I had no trouble saving presets. I'm not sure if it's because of the latest version, the VSTi recall seems to have gone when reloading projects. I know I made 1 preset earlier and opened it successfully when trying different sample rates, and it worked. Now this is a no go.

... and I don't think there's anything "missing" from Synthmaster. Everyone has one feature they want... can't please all the people all the time

I am adding this one to my "bug database" as well. Will take a look at it as soon as I'm done with the skin stuff.

Hi fellows,

Looks like there's a problem with the "2OscWavetableAMPM" preset. It causes Synthmaster to crash upon exit. Just remove it from your system. (under Presets folder)

Thanks!

Ok folks, here's the new skin I was writing about:

This is the beauty of having an interface editor :) With a couple of hours, I came up with this UI. Now's the time to finish the C++ coding part of it!

This skinnability thing is going to be a really big hit. I'm curious though, since I know nothing (and besides functional aspects, care little :hihi: ) about skinning, whether entirely new motifs will be possible with skinners like limeflavour(?). Atlanis and Oatmeal got a hell of a makeover from him.

...anyhoo, I was wondering about CLASSIC amplitude modulation. Since the LFOs only go to 10hz, would it be possible to increase their max cycles, since what I'm getting now is just a really fast tremelo... or did I miss some other way of doing this...

Why dont you use the modulators? they work at "audio" rate. Just set the DC value of a modulator to max value, and set that modulator as the RM source of an osc!

Actually, "skinning" is not sufficient to explain the technology in SynthMaster.
Skinning refers to changing the background images/colors/styles/etc. of a user interface, but the layout of controls remain the same.

The technology we have here is far more than that 8) because you can create multiple "interfaces", each "interface" having its own defalt preset, so for instance when you instantiate a "Moog" interface, you see an interface similar to a Moog synthesizer, 3 osc, 1 filter, 1 filter envelope, 1 amp envelope...

Anyhow, as soon as I create more "interfaces" you guys will understand the power of this technology. Maybe by this way, SynthMaster will be closed to SynthMaker :D

Folks, we are very proud to announce that we have licensed 128 waveforms from Galbanum's Architecture Library. Now it's gonna be a challenge to select 128 out of 2500 though, to create the factory wavetables!

This is getting better and better :-)

2500 to choose from sounds like a lot of coffee...

-----------
By the way the GUI editor is really cool (great work!!) - I just added a combolist to select the room types of the reverb.
255 characters....eemm...let's see...

Then just backup your skin directory, so that when we have a new release it is not overrwrittten!

BTW , the waveforms are kind of sequences, so it is not so diffucult to choose from. I'm just gonna choose from the one that cant be build with our waveform editor

Moron (me). I knew that

Hi fellows,

Just finished the implementation of reading WAV files. Loading single cycle WAVS will be really cool :) Initially we'll provide the 128 factory waveforms we licenced from Galbanum, but aside from that users will be able to add their own waveforms as well :)
