All I can say is: OMG! Great stuff 8)

Some very different approaches in there. This is going to be a tough decision! :)

I've sent a link to bmrzycki - he said he would host the patches on the PatchLib site (which you said would be ok for you). I only Pm'd him 20 mins ago, so it all depends upon when he sees the link and when he gets time to do it (and it could be the middle of the night right now where ever he is).

If you really can't wait I'm sure that I could sort something out for you. :)

no problem. I'll wait then.
thanx.

I kept playing that short video clip in my head while trying out the patches and i must say in general they are all valid, just a matter of taste where to use them in the video :) Great work!

Here MC - I thought you'd probably rather not wait

(I hope megaupload is ok for you?)

Any comments on my decision to balance the levels of the patches? Have I done a fair job? I'm just a bit worried that different ear/monitor combinations might hear things differently. :?

Oh, and I was going to suggest that the patch designers might hold back from voting for a while, but, well, that's just a suggestion.

They sound fine to me.

Sounds reasonable, that begs a couple of questions. I'll post them in the rules / voting thread.

I'd rather keep all discussion in here - so fire away.

The voting thread is just for voting (makes keeping tally of the score a bit easier).

Whoops! Too late.

OK, I'll move the questions here:

Two questions about the rules:

1. When's the voting deadline? (Particularly for submitters to delay to.)
2. Wasn't there some discussion about submitters not voting for themselves? If so, it should be stated here (i.e. have all the rules in one place).

But these are minor quibbles. You've done a nice job organising this already.

1. Haven't decided. Maybe 1 week or 2? I was just going to wait and see at what rate votes came in. The point at which the rate of voting tails off substantially would probably be the time to close. Admittedly, a definite cut off date would be the correct way of going about things - but for now I think it would be better to be a little flexible (some people might only visit this site once every two weeks or so). I'm open to suggestions though.

EDIT: RE: 'Submitter's deadline' I'll leave that up to you - it was only a suggestion. I was going to wait until there's a reasonable number of votes in before 'owning up' - but if it goes really badly for me I might just keep quiet indefinitely

2. Well, I was pretty much leaving it up to people's better judgement. I mean it's a public vote, someone would have to be pretty shameless to vote for their own patch! :)
