It cant, but I can do that for youGothboy wrote:Ummm...is there anything this synth WON"T be able to do???Can it make my espresso too!
I used to drink 2 "iced" mochas every day (4 seasons) when I lived in the US.
In Boston, it was from "Dunkin Donuts". In Palo Alto, it was from "Java City". In Columbus, it was from "Panera Bread"
And just a couple of months ago, I discovered a place right on my way here in Ankara that makes iced mochas

mmm coffee!
I recently bought this synth. Is there any way to test the beta? I bought it mainly to test your wavedraw, so I look forward to 2 .

Did I miss something
or is the mod wheel missing among the mod sources ? ( I can only see Aftertouch, PB and Vel atm )
If its really not there could you consider adding it to the mod sources Bulent ? ( As well as CC4 -Foot controller- if possible ?)

Now, regarding MIDI CC's I have 2 options:
1. Allow assigning MIDI CC's to any parameter. "Assign" means, the parameter value is overwritten (not modulated) by CC.
2. Allow modulation of parameters by commonly used CCs.
Which way should we go?

Folks,
I've just been testing wavesequencing by using the "factory" waveforms.
Pretty cool sounding!
I'm gonna make a new release tonight, but I have some bad news
If you created any presets that contains waveforms that you have created those presets wont work in the new release. I had to change the preset format, so that in the future we can define "additive" waveforms as well. "additive" is different from "spectral", because you have n different basic (sin/tri/squ/saw) waveforms that can be added together to create a complex waveform, just as in SynthMaster v1.0

I'm not quite sure why one way does exclude the other - I'm surely missing something.kv331 wrote:That's an important remark, thanks Ltz!Lotuzia wrote:Did I miss something![]()

One thing to consider when implementing it, is a mode where the parameter value don't jump to the one from the modulator, but waits to be picked up.
So when the actual value for a parameter is 120 it waits for the modwheel to get up from for example 30 to 120 before it follows the movements.
Thus you don't have value jumps...
Looking forward to the next release

I drink Starbucks at home. I just had an iced coffee and I'll have an iced mocha/espresso later as it's going to be a late night. Ay time you're back in the area I'll be happy to make one for you!kv331 wrote:It cant, but I can do that for youGothboy wrote:Ummm...is there anything this synth WON"T be able to do???Can it make my espresso too!

Hello,
i have some problem with those modulation rings around the knobs. As an example i use the "Wave Index" knob for the wavetables. If i turn the wave index to 0 which is the first wave and try to turn the modulation amount of e.g. an ADSR envelope up the whole ring turns green but i hear no modulation. If i turn the knob to the middle position i can only turn the modulation ring to the left side which results in a noticeable modulation. I can't turn the modulation ring to the right side.
My thought is that those rings are a good idea (they are also used in Massive or Alchemy) but the use is quite confusing for me. Maybe it's a bug.
Like in Largo (which i use since some weeks) for wavetable modulation you choose the modulation source and turn the slider for the intensity up (+) or down (-) which results in positive or negative modulation. If this is the case with the modulation rings in Synthmaster it must be possible to turn it up AND down. The normal way would be to turn it from left (0) to right (127) which would increase the modulation amount. Not working that way so far.
UPDATE: Maybe i was wrong. If i use the "Add" mode for the modulation ring it works normally (from left to right) and with the wavetable scanning effect. If i use the "Multiply" mode it works like i have written above. So i still don't understand how that ring for the "Multiply" mode works.
BTW it would be nice if in the wavetables it's possible to choose from all available waveforms. At the moment only 10 waveforms could be selected in the drop down menu.

I'd better start explaining how modulation works in SynthMaster:
There are 2 types of modulation:
1. + modulation
2. X modulation
For positive/negative modulation, just use the 1st one, as shown below:

In the above example, we are
1. Adding "Midi velocity" x "Modulation amount1" to Wave Index parameter
2. Subtracting "Voice ADSR Envelope 2" x "Modulation amount2" from Wave Index parameter
For X modulation though, the parameter value is multiplied by:
Parameter Value = Parameter Value X [(1.0-"mod amount")+ "mod amount" X Modulation Source]

Because we havent released the version that includes all the factory wavetables yet !Ingonator wrote: BTW it would be nice if in the wavetables it's possible to choose from all available waveforms. At the moment only 10 waveforms could be selected in the drop down menu.
