Hi guys,
I posted on this a while ago and have since replaced the whole sample library for Miroslav Philharmonik just to be sure.
This is a very odd and intermittent fault. When I load Philharmonik into a slot (on its own) the program runs just fine and I have full functionality within the plugin to load any of the samples as you would expect.
The problem occurs when I then save my setup as a preset/snapshot in the receptor mix view. It saves just fine but then when I try to change to another preset, Receptor re-starts immediately. If I then disassamble this preset, ie select "none" in my plugin list and delete the preset name so I am left with a blank mixview, it STILL crashes receptor when I try and move to another existing preset. So you're stuck in a constatnt loop where once this has happened, its pure luck to be able to receptor back to normal - involving a lot of crashing and a lot of swearing!
I have been playing around with different orders of doing things. If I start receptor fresh and load up philharmonik into a blank mixview and save as a preset, it SOMETIMES behaves absolutely fine and I can change presets without any complications (imagine my whoop of joy when this happened yesterday after abandoning all hope!). However, after a while the first crash when changing presets occurs and like I said above, its very difficult to get rid of this behaviour.
Can anyone shed any light on what might be happening here? I'm normally quite good at examining each "link" in the chain to find problems with technology but this has me completely flummoxed.....
Many thanks
Nic

Hi,
What version of the Receptor OS do you have? If not the latest version, you should update it. If I remember well, they say something about that on the Muse website, maybe it will fix your problem.
I don't have the Miroslav installed, but I would like to have it... Keep me informed when it gets better.
Similar things happened to me with Kontakt 2 sometimes, but apparently it is a known bug and I learnt to live with it... I know this is not a solution, but I didn't to look for a better one any longer, and I don't use Kontakt that much...

Hi Demierra,
Thanks for your reply. I did think it may have been an issue with the OS but have made sure I am running 1.7. It still seems to have the same problem...does anyone else have any idea what might be causing this?
Thanks!

I noticed that some of the IK patches do a "Pre-analysis" when loading...maybe resources are not available on startup if your patch uses this?
Just a guess though...
