As we wrote in our release notes mono implementation is not finished yet. Hopefuly this Sunday!

By the way, if anyone has any skin/interface ideas let me know. we'd like to provide as many interfaces as possible to give users choice!

What about a basic wavetable synth based on the PPG Wave. This should have 2 wavetable OSCs, 1 Analog 24dB Lowpass filter, 3 ADSR envelopes, 1 LFO, unison (2-4 voices) and an ARP. Basically it's the basic skin with wavetables and without FX. THe layer controls, envelopes and the filter could look like in the basic skin.

Sounds cool! And easy to implement :) what should we call the skin? PPG :)

I guess that would be enough since everyone knows what this means. Maybe also "PPGmaster" would fit... (from PPG and Synthmaster) :D

Ingonator wrote:1.) The new version 1.9.7 will crash every time if you try to use some old presets. You have to delete all old presets. Best is to delete the complete old folder before copying the new one. You already warned about that in your post above. ...
 So much for the presets I created, especially one I created and sent for kv331 to inspect...But progress must continue! :D

I feel that this beta has very a long way to go. This latest one is working as a standalone(Though I STILL can't turn knobs with the mouse....don't know why this is still an issue...) but it's not working with either EnergyXT OR MuLab 2.6 as it's not recognised by the wrappers in either program! :(

Hello Bulent,

i can confirm this. The envelope doesn't seem to have an effect on the Cutoff frequency. Maybe the most urgent fix IMO.

No problem here with the new xt2 beta - don't forget you need to have the complete folder with all the files in your plugin directory.

the little bug with the envelope slope point (mentioned on the first page - perhaps you missed it - don't think it's intended):

When you drag the slope of for example the release stage of an adsr - the point moves inverted to the mouse movement.

Moving the mouse upwards moves the point downwards.

The slope point of the attack is behaving correctly.

This updte (1997) is really cool - just playing around with the "MyfirstFactoryOcs"-Preset - nice sounds coming from the speakers.

Just got to play with the latest ...7 today.

First, I don't get any sound when the synth is loaded - VST + standalone - and hit a note. Only preset 5 played for some reason.

Also I'm having some problems I'd mentioned earlier: with disabling both oscs in layer 2 I get an unchanging tone, and the altering of the cpu settings is screaming agiain too. Changing presets also gives me the tone now sometimes, and only a couple, 1 and 5 (presets) give any sound at all...

I have to say, though, after checking out the new skin idea... this is truly revolutionary, because the skins are presets themselves, so you can have templates without having to look at all the other parameters and place only what you need. f**king AMAAAAAAAZING !!!!! :band2:

If it's been done before, I haven't seen it. And if it hasn't then others will be copying it for sure sometime.

The new version 1.9.9.7 has only ONE preset. Old presets can crash the program. Be sure that you replace all folders of the program including the presets.

A number of bugs was found. The new improved version 1.9.9.8 should come tomorrow as Bulent said.

The skins could be made with the GUI Editor which comes with the program. It's basically much more than a skin, you can select the modules you want and arrange them how you like. So it's more like Synthedit or Synthmaker where you make your own synth. The special thing in Synthmaster is that you can choose a different skin (synth) for each preset.

The synth which could be compared is Zebra 2. In Zebra 2 you can select the modules directly in the main program and save it with the patch. Also the way the wavetable is made is quite similar. I don't want to compare all features but i never liked the GUI of Zebra (i still have it for the presets...) so i only made 1 or 2 patches with it. Synthmaster is much easier to handle, even with the full default skin. And the sound is good in both synths.

Hi Bulent,

Yeah thanks, got the new version today.

Well controlling anything with mod wheel just doesnt work at all here(Different hosts).

Modulations have still some weird graphic bugs. (might be a good idea to reset modulation to zero whan you choose another modulation source)

A way to reset any parameter to default value would definitely be usefull Bulent (like Ctrl + Click, Shift Click, or right click if you dont intend to use it for midi CC mapping for example). And not only to perform tests during beta stage, but in production environment as well.

LFO 1&2 might benefit of a free running toggle like the modulators.(If I didnt miss them)

Additive engine : I'll try to make some tests to find some eventual possible CPU optimisation there.

Reverb engine : My own personnal opinion is that a time parameter (ie length ) should be added at least. ( I know You can shape it with an enveloppe but its really a complicated way to do an easy thing imho)

Tremoloe engine : Totally useless imho as it has no control (even rate ) and there are so many ways to achieve more or less complex tremoloes in a synth. Seems to me you could have a free slot in the Gui to add something that might be more usefull (OK only my opinion there maybe some other users will react to this)

Synth is promising, but a lot of things need to be fixed, I'm afraid, to reach beta status and begin effective work on Kore lib.

Courage !
