After try and try and try....

that's not a good couple. With the V-Machine and the AKAI Ewi I wasted the money. Everybody says it's possible to combine but nobody says how. No way.

not having read all the pages (sorry) can anyone tell me if they have succesfuly installed and run any of the t-racks singles fx processors.
would be nice to have a portable virtual rack of fairchild/pultec for my guitar for live use .. also what is the latency with audio in?
addendum- hmm i just checked the site , only mini jack in. anyone using this as guitar effects?

Try explaining exactly what you do, step by step, and we'll try to help you. I'm sure it can be done and also that it is easy.

I connect my Ewi4000s to the V-Machine through MIDI Port. I choose for example Flute sound. I go to User Volume in menu and pres learn and start to blow on ewi, and the V-Machine uses the blow to change volume on the sound, but, on the display always appear learn, and no way to change anything, patch, etc. Only way to do it is switch off the ewi.

I just want to connect my ewi to the V-Machine, and play, and control the volume with the breath. That's all.

Thanks

OK, 1st have you setup a support ticket on the SMPROAUDIO website?
also when does it appear (learn) as soon as you play?

So connect the EWI.. (don't learn anything) play something... what happens?

Next
Connect Learn the Volume(is this the main volume or the channel volume or what about learning the level of the plugin itself)

The EWI could be sending out a MIDI command as the learn button itself can be assigned to a MIDI command.. so possibly the EWI is sending out that midi command.

Danny

Hi, still as per above, all correct.
Main difference is power which you will get 2-3 times as much (some plugins even much more) and ram up-to 2gig.

If I connect the ewi and play, it sounds, but it has no breath control. If I press the buttons learn, it works, but the v-machine screen gets crazy, and no way to change the patch. I have to stop the ewi to everything get normal.

Thanks

What I think is happening is that when you press the learn button and play the EWI it sends out many different midi commands, not just one.

If you know the CC for breath control you can enter it manually into the VFXINFO file for that preset.

To VFXAU,

Well I've gotten hold of this file "VFX1360_stage2-app-rc20081205.dd.image.zip". What does it do? Is it for direct booting from a USB thumbdrive? How do I go about copying the boot image into a USB thumbdrive.

Thanks.

To ask support questions please use www.smproaudio.helpserve.com and post the question there.

That file is an old and unsupported way to update the firmware. Since firmware 20081205 is very old I suggest you delete the file and dont use it.

I've seen on SM site that is now avaiable the wizard file of Soundemon Supreme Pianos; this vst is designed for the purpose to achieve the same reality level as sampling while keeping the CPU usage low (requires less than 1/5 power in comparison to truepianos).

Great, I thought, finally a fu...ng piano that REALLY works on V-Machine!!! :hyper:

Then...a quick view to the wizard file in wich you can read:

Known Issues: Limited polyphony on 1ghz vmachine, works great on V-rack. The mini piano works the best and is just useable on a 1ghz vmachine unless you play lots of notes with the sustain held down.

WTF!!! :bang: :bang: :bang:

There is no way to do it...let's hope the CPU upgrade will really change the situation

i heared there is a truepoianos version for vmachine in the pipe. maybe that would be something for you delafuerte !
