plus these:

Left panel: VOICE RACK
Right panel: CONTROL RACK
Bottom panels: GLOBAL/FX TAB etc..
That is eminently sensible terminology. 8)

(Hey, I tried my best to get it right - I got 'sound generation rack' and 'global mix' from the online manual!)

Wow...awesome!
I never won anything in my life.
Thanks to all. :)
I'll try to get a bank of patches done, ready for it's release.

@hakey: If everyone just uses box.net, then I can just email you my preset link to put into the box.net account, for me.
edit: I just found out, I can get on fileden.com

Congratulations MCnoone!

Congrats MCnoone, congrats to the winners, and to everyone! :)

I think that everybody taking part has deserved a copy of the ultimate time destruction device. I hope to warp this into the long rumoured Berlin Modular one day. It'd be great if everyone could send me an email (not a PM! - my forum mailbox is always full...) through KVR with their platform (PC/Mac), name and email address... just click the e-mail button below my PM link below my name... then I'll be able to send betas, and in the end license codes for that, uhm, *thing*.

Also. In future we'll have a single copy of the prize, going to the topmost winner/runners up who hasn't got it yet... (at some point we can then also do contests with that :hihi: )

Cheers,

;) Urs

Urs, that's great news! I won't argue with that at all. :D

I've already created 5 new presets in the past hour for the new contest, which I liked, then didn't like and of course now I'm unsure. I am determined to crack the top 5 in at least one of these future contests. :help:

If anyone entering is interested in exchanging feedback on possible preset entries, please pm me. 8)

thank you Hakey for your work and effort in organizing this contest!
...and of course Urs and anybody who participated, patched and voted!

That's great! Thanks Urs :)

Wow, thanks Urs

Unfortunately I didn't have time to vote, I'm swamped with work and made the patch in a five minute break to clear my mind.

I'll try to get in a patch for the next compo, just because it's fun :D

edit: do you guys know dropbox yet? It's very easy to publicly share files, but you can also share folders with other dropbox users. Any file placed within that folder will directly be visible in all other people that the folder is shared with, cool stuff. Check it out here

Okay, I'm in the final stages before compiling an alpha version that'll hopefully have most core features ready. It currently still has some odd timing in the sequencer, Glide Range and Type don't do anything and maybe one or two things need to be fixed. The AU will then be available immediately, and can we say "fingers crossed that Win verison is just a project setup orgy and a compile" 8)

Once I have confirmed that things work I'll send you guys an email with a download link. The reg codes will then come later, once the final product gets in shape (if ever  )

Later,

;) Urs

btw... how about naming the patch contests by month?

Like, the new one would be "August Patch Contest"

Or maybe enumerating them #2, #3...

Otherwise people might get confused quickly...

@ all winners:

I've put The Prize into internal beta testing - including VST Win. If I get positive feedback (i.e. "doesn't format C:\") then I'll send you the links!

Note that the cpu usuage is even worse on Windows... 9-10% per voice on my machine... compared to 6-7% on MacOS X... might just be a compiler setting, or maybe I need a better compiler... (hmmm... it probably forgot to inline stuff that begs to be inlined...)

Later,

;) Urs

Oh... this is what it looks like now:

Not too bad for an alpha, huh?
