Besides a serial number, what do we get for our trouble? What are they using as 'sugar on top' of the apology?

Do we get the D-808 and D-909 free if we bought the original Trance Pro bundle?
Yes...

What a shame! I forgot about the rendering bug. I keep getting these random crappy flangy notes at the same intervals every time. I even duplicated the sequence twice in a row hoping the problem would get knocked out on the first pass like it does in real time, but no dice. It happens on the same notes every time. Bollocks! - Orbit-50

So has anyone BOUGHT these for the first time this time round? Curious on how they perform and feedback from customer support. I downloaded the demos and am keen, but......

I bought everything except micropops or whatever its called

I actually emailed them before I bought anything to see if they were "alive" and got a response back 6 hours later.

Their synth line is amazing, I use them all the time. As long as you keep the email with the serial number, reinstalling should be a breeze, no matter what happens to the company.

Well, I bit the bullet and got quite a bargain on eBay tonight - Tarkus, Performer, Trance-Pro, Professional, D-909 and D-808 for just £40.00
And I'll tell you what, the synths are pretty awesome. Haven't tried the drum machines yet, but expect them to be just as good. I've only flicked through the presets so far, but so inspirational.

Edit - I received an email from Chris within about an hour of paying :D

Update - email received this morning (a Sunday) with licence number and user Id. Great customer service to go with awesome synths. I think a lot of people expressing negativity are wrong. :)

Thing is though, they're how old? And they haven't had an update in years. I'd be getting a bit long in the tooth if I had to pay for a synth that was 4 years old (Ermm...let me classify that: Soft synth that was developed 4 years ago and seemingly hasn't had any subsequent updates).

Does a sound change because of time, especially in 4 years? Does a hardware synth get updated? Generally they get updated because of bugs. Listen mate, for 40 quid can anyone really complain? If they do I suggest that just complain for complaining sake! I think the sounds are really good, great GUI, simple to use, loads of variation. I love 'em :D

What about Tarkus? It's new, never before seen. But yeah, SW-Pro is still awesome, doesn't matter if it's 30 years old and in hardware form, I'd buy it.

Software is updated because it's software.

And I buy software because it gets updates and is easier to set-up
than to make space and connections in my hardware rack.

For heavens sake,
stop this useless comparison!

I wouldn't expect my hardware to receive updates...

Calm down dear; who's going on?! Hardware is so difficult to set up - now where do I connect this cable? mmm let me see
Jesus; people are so quick to criticise and put people down on this site. The guy has had so much bad press on here it was about time someone spoke out for him. And no, I'm not the developer!!! :x

Surely this is a joke,right ?

He took peoples money and left them with unusable software for how many years ? 3 ? And since seemingly he had the software all along WTF didn't he just give it to the people who payed for it ?

BTW i'm thinking that Bernie Maddof guy is unemployed nowadays. Maybe i could get a good deal having him invest my savings ?

Why was is unusable? It's serial based software, right? You keep the serial, your software works.
