Uhbik-Q frequencies

Several people have requested that Uhbik-Q show the actual frequencies of the filters. Until Urs decides to do that (he may not, I've no idea, really), here are some measurements I made using a noise source, Uhbik-Q and Voxengo SPAN...

0= 130Hz
1= 220Hz
2= 370Hz
3= 600Hz
4= 1Khz
5= 1.8Khz
6= 3Khz
7= 5Khz
8= 8.5Khz
9= 14.5Khz
10= Over 20Khz

Due to the method I used, these numbers are obviously slightly approximate, but fairly accurate. As I expected, it is a really wide range for a single knob, but it works well. I find myself grabbing this EQ more and more.

Frankly, now that I know the *range* of the control, I'm likely to put the numbers away and continue to mix with my ears.

I like not knowing, It causes you to work in a different fashion. I don't use Uhbik-Q when I need to EQ something precisely, more as a sound design tool/effect.

But whatever, if people are too scared of and EQ without any frequency reference then fine!

It's fine the way it is. I just want the readouts as an option.

Read out's would be nice. However, I'd never use Uhbik Q for precision personally. I like my EQ's to give visual feedback spectrum.
