It makes all of Cubase SE (1, not 3) go transparent when I change the opacity, not just itself. Is this not compatible with this version of Cubase? I know I can't grad midi files in this version, so maybe this it too old.
Thanks
FreqAnalyst free makes everything transparent

Hi,
our plugins should work in older versions of Cubase as well. We don't have access to previous versions, but as far as I remember it was similar as with the most recent versions: in order to avoid the opacity of the entire application to be changed by the plugin, you need to make sure the plugin window is floating. To do so, right click on the background of the plugin window (not on the plugin part but on the top of the window) and choose "Always on top", as shown below:

Hope this helps!

Well, it helps, but is still very hard to see between two spectrums I'm comparing.

I you are trying to compare several spectrums in real time you might want to give a try to the FreqAnalyst Multi plugin which was designed for this purpose. It's not free but maybe the demo will be enough for your needs.
The opacity feature of the free version can help you do that, but it's not as good as using a dedicated tool.
