I would give Vojtech a chance to say something before outrage takes over. My dealings with him have been good - and he comes across as a cool guy. Mdrummer is an incredible piece of software - he's clearly an extremely talented programmer. I can't see him being this careless.
I hope this is something like the u-he screen-melting thing, otherwise I fear his business will be damaged.
But befoe that happens, he deseves to put his case.

Personally, I'd bet that that was just put in there to intimidate potential hackers. Probably complete blarney.

Hey guys I think david hokney should spend years in jail for trying to destroy competition!
(Btw. you could just ask via mail...)
The splash screen states "if you try to get cracks, then you'll never know
"... And truly it is just a bulshit
.
EDIT: I meant - there is no such code.
But I think many people may get scared from using cracks. Hackers became a really big problem. One solution is to get Syncrosoft protection, another one is like this. Which do you like more?

Btw. davidhokney, it would be pretty appropriate to edit your post, since this is just sad attempt to spread some rumors, and I don't think your customers would appreciate it. It's a matter of honour though...

I think you should spend time in jail for using such large freaking font for an entire message.MeldaProduction wrote:Hey guys I think david hokney should spend years in jail for trying to destroy competition!

I think that deserves a ban...davidhokney wrote:
Quite frankly, I can't believe you've got the balls to treat your paying customers in this way. You know how it works by now surely? The only SAFE version of your software NOW is the version which will be cracked and have this vile code removed!!!

Guys, this is the message:
7. Do not use any cracked version.
MDrummer now contains destructive code, which will selectively remove parts of your system and is triggered by attempts to crack it. Since there is no legal agreement if you use a cracked version, MDrummer is free to do that.
Maybe it is a little hard, but is cleary stated, that it "is triggered by attempts to crack it" (besides the fact there is nothing like that
).
Well, no problem - I'm open to discussion - if you think it is too much, let's talk about how it should sound. But no more accusations please...

The large font was necessary, because this is the most important message in the topic - the explanation from company being accused.rlahalla wrote:I think you should spend time in jail for using such large freaking font for an entire message.

But you've just admitted that what he accused you of is what you have done?MeldaProduction wrote:The large font was necessary, because this is the most important message in the topic - the explanation from company being accused.rlahalla wrote:I think you should spend time in jail for using such large freaking font for an entire message.

Really you must realise that although your intention may be to damage the computers of people who try and hack your software or use cracks there are so many things that might accidentally trigger what is essentially a dumb routine by mistake and cause the same damage to computers of non criminal users it's irresponsible to do this (unless it is just a fake warning in which case why bother?)

Well not really - we were accused that MDrummer can destroy the system. And it cannot, there is no such code. Well, technically with right tempering any crack can destroy your systemaMUSEd wrote: But you've just admitted that what he accused you of is what you have done?

Anyway as it seems, many of you consider the message too much - but I WANT to keep it, but I'm open to change it - was thinking about - something like "you will be reported to local authorities"... but who knows what can something think about that...

Well that's what it appears to say.
Does it or does it not contain "destructive code" and in what sense is it destructive? Self destructive (i.e. just removing the plug-in) or destructive of other aspects of the computer system?

Ok let's try it different way
1) IMHO the autor of this topic should have asked in the first place. Since he did not, it is obvious, that he just wants make some rumors.
2) I agree that the message may sound too hard, so it will be replaced by something else - the question is, with what? Any ideas?
