I haven't been able to upload files from the random_hotel_connection but I got svn68 to compile, the executable is 1.3megs larger since I remade/installed the libraries as instructed - a good sign I think. Also image folder inside app-package is done. I'll be able to upload later tomorrow. I like the knobs!

OK, here's another attempt at an OS X binary - fingers crossed:

Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libsndfile.1.dylib
Waiting to find this library...

@xh3rv - It occurs to me that a useful "debug" feature would be either or both of:
1) A standard Unixy command line option like:
blueberrything --version
2) A splash screen that has the same information somewhere on it, that would (hopefully) show just long enough to read it before having (library) trouble.
As it is now, there is no way to know what version of the program is crapping out.

@xh3rv - Starting with SVN 69 (0.0.6.1) I'm going to be adding an interpolation feature/parameter for GeoBlend, so it might get a little unstable. Best to stick with 0.0.5.4 for now if you're doing any packaging efforts.

@xh3rv - SVN 71 now has command line options --help and --version, so you can now do on the command line:
blueberrything --version
and it will echo back in typical Unixy fashion something like:
Blueberry Thing - Ver 0.0.6.3
Also the new GeoBlend interpolation feature is in place and seems to be working, although I haven't tested it enough to have a warm fuzzy feeling yet, and I will probably refactor the code a bit.

Just got off the phone with a guy who is going to borrow me an older OSX 10.4 machine, so that should make it possible for me to do testing and packaging on the Mac.

Sounds good. Just finished final week of Scheme course, was sort of an Olympics of how to deal with pointers without really dealing with pointers and my brain is seizing up on any kind of programming for a bit - on the other hand I'm fairly certain I could teach a chimp to breakdance using only grammatically simple sentences.billstei wrote:Just got off the phone with a guy who is going to borrow me an older OSX 10.4 machine, so that should make it possible for me to do testing and packaging on the Mac.
If nothing else I think I've discovered that libsndfile (and therefore fftw?) is not Mac-friendly at all, unlike SDL and wxWidgets. I've been trying to get it to statically link about 20 different ways but am just missing something. I'll keep at it but I'm officially lost.

Just got my brand new shiny old dusty dinosaur Graphite 450 Mhz G4 with 640 Megs RAM and a 20 Gig hard drive. Total cost $0xh3rv wrote:Sounds good. That's pretty much the same configuration that I used to develop Zebra 1.0. It was extremely pricey back the tho... still have it around... just in case...billstei wrote:Just got my brand new shiny old dusty dinosaur Graphite 450 Mhz G4 with 640 Megs RAM and a 20 Gig hard drive. Total cost $0
