closing zebra GUI crashes reaper...any progress on fixing this?

this makes zebra practically unusable :cry:

It works fine for me. Using Reaper/Zebra on XP or Vista without it crashing...

What's the circumstances of the crash ?

I'm using 3.06 plus latest Zebra beta and it's working fine for me including resize.

edit - oh hang on - managed to get a couple of crashes closing the gui if it's in an FX Chain window ("Instruction at 0x044b6033" referenced memory at "0x0587b002". The memory could not be read") - can't replicate every time and not had it from a floating window (yet)

Urs,

This is the same bug I've reported before. I still see the problem reliably reproduced with the following setup:

1. open Reaper, create a midi track
2. Add Zebra to the track, add any other effect to the track (say ReaComp)
3. on the left of the FX window switch between ReaComp and Z2 back and forth.

Usually it takes me < 10 tries to make Reaper crash and force me to reboot (Reaper holds onto my ASIO device).

Doesn't seem to need that other effect though - just being in an FX window (not floating) seems to trigger it if you open/close a few times.

right, just zebra alone and it crashes

I always float zebra and after opening/closing a few times it starts the crashing. After that every time I open the project it crashes the 1st time I open then close zebra

crap! I just tried it again a few times... I start a new project with just zebra and it's crashing the 1st time I close the gui

i've been using zebra with reaper for almost 2 years. It only started crashing after reaper 3.

Strange... I've been experiencing the exact same issue with the latest beta of zebra and Ableton Live only. I've been using Zebra in Reaper 3.06 instead since I didn't have any crashes with Reaper.

It does take a bit to trigger it - I just had to open and close the gui 15 times to trigger a crash. It does still only happen on my system when in an fx window though.

@Amused... 15 times in Reaper or Live, for reproducing the crash?

I'll give another try with Reaper, although I was so content with the idea it worked flawlessly before now. :(

Reaper - maybe it's not entirely a Reaper issue though if it occurs in Live too (probably worth testing in some other hosts)
