There's no installer (so far). You have to copy the complete unrared folder into your vstplugins folder if the VST version should work. Into that new folder you have to copy the keyfile (where the dll is).gwill wrote:Thanks, Ingonator! I'll dl the beta soon for testing.

Preset files have an own folder, no fxb or fxp files in Synthmaster 2. It uses an own browser, a bit like Kore.

Hi Bulent
Hope Hollydays were good
Some more possible bugs/weirdos :
Layer 1 Volume :
a) If I remove ADSR1 to control Layer 1 volume and even if I control the volume of the different OSCs with diff ADSR, I get a kind of dronish/infiniterelease sound.
B) The same happens if I want to control Layer 1 Volume with a second modulation source ( Like Velocity or wheel) and Using + instead of multiply. Here again a sound with a very big release happens.
Tag and Preset saving :
If I tag my preset then save it with "save as", a crash occurs in all hosts. If I save presets with "save as", then tag the preset and add info, and then resave preset using only the save function (and not save as) it works
More to come

That's because the LFO is unipolar. Make it Bipolar and try again!FragileX wrote: I would expect, when turning the volume of a LFO down, that there is no modulation going on when in Add-mode-modulation.
In the picture, I would expect the volume of OSC1 to be zero when the volume of LFO1 is zero - but it isn't - it results in a static value for the volume of OSC1 (no lfo modulation going on)
Bipolar and unipolar are different. In unipolar a dc offset is added to the LFO signal so that its value is always between 0.0 - 1.0. In bipolar the lfo value is between +/-lfo volume
I'll explain those in detail in the Quick Start Manual.

Make sure the volumes go to zero at the end, otherwise the notes will continue indefinitely.Lotuzia wrote: a) If I remove ADSR1 to control Layer 1 volume and even if I control the volume of the different OSCs with diff ADSR, I get a kind of dronish/infiniterelease sound.
Use + for mod wheel, then use an adsr envelope as a 2nd mod source, but for that one set the mod type to X, so the volume becomes:Lotuzia wrote: B) The same happens if I want to control Layer 1 Volume with a second modulation source ( Like Velocity or wheel) and Using + instead of multiply. volume = volume + mod wheel
volume = volume X ADSR
I'm trying to reproduce this one but I couldn't?Lotuzia wrote: If I tag my preset then save it with "save as", a crash occurs in all hosts. If I save presets with "save as", then tag the preset and add info, and then resave preset using only the save function (and not save as) it works![]()

Ok Doesnt really work herekv331 wrote:Make sure the volumes go to zero at the end, otherwise the notes will continue indefinitely.Lotuzia wrote: a) If I remove ADSR1 to control Layer 1 volume and even if I control the volume of the different OSCs with diff ADSR, I get a kind of dronish/infiniterelease sound.
New patch ---> Default skin
ADSR 1 : Zero all release parameters (release time & slope, final level)
Layer Volume : Remove ADSR 1 as mod source -----> Infinite drone
Add mod source ADSR 1 (Will all zeroed release parameters) to control OSC 1 Volume : Make the modulation ring full it works ok. But if the green modulation ring is not full ie goes to zero, you still have the "release thing" more or less.
So what I mean is when no modulation source is active at all, on both layer and oscillators volume, shouldnt the correct sound behaviour be "only plays when gated = key pressed" and not " plays infinite release" as release isnt present in any adsr ?
The solution with no release is ok but this means that if you want to bypass the layer enveloppe (to have obviously different volume enveloppes on diff OSCs of the layer, it means that you have to to control full force the enveloppe with the new mod sources, wich can lead to not beeing able to achieve more subtle modulations)
Well I can do with this btw. Its not really a terrible problem but might be worth to quote it in the manual. Dunno
Off topic : Now I'm worried about my own hollydays. I thought I could send you my 17 kids -including 3 pairs of twins and one triplet....

Now the second example : Always related to volume.
New patch ---> Default skin
ADSR 1 : Zero all release parameters (release time & slope, final level)
The simple idea is add an additionbal control of the volume by velocity for the layer volume. So
Set the volume (currently controled by ADSR1) to 50%. Sound behave in a normal way (Volume is now more quiet)
Then add a second modulation source : Midi Velocity with + selected.
In my understanding this should increase layer volume by the ammount of + set in the second modulation circle, but no ..... it just add release whereas all release parameters are set to zero
Turnaround tip : If I then use the Multiply instead of +, here it works like expected, and I now have layer's volume controlled by both velocity and ADSR1.
So finally we can go with that, but here again I dunno if this is the more intuitive way to achieve it. (ie controlling by multiplying with a number between 0 and 1 if I'm correct, or something approaching
) Might be worth to be quoted in the manual too ?
