There are also some other controls I will be putting out. And what if they fail: Let the warez users see/hear what will be :)

1. Add ctrl/shift click to knob controls.

2. Work on user waveforms, users should be able to import their WAV/AIFF
waveforms, categorize them, etc...

3. Work on improving tooltip displays for some controls, such as the waveform editors.

4. Finish documentation. Will add sections on filters, preset management, preset browser, etc.

5. Update our website www.kv331audio.com.

6. Send press releases to kvraudio, harmony central. Any other places we should consider?

Any thoughts are welcome :)

BTW, I have another important question:

How does the analog filters sound? Do they sound like an analog ladder filter when resonance increased?

I'm planning to add a "bias" parameter to the analog filters as well, so that the nonlinear distortion produced in internal filter stages generate event harmonics as well. Right now, they only produce odd harmonics, since the softclipper used is an approximation of "tanh" function (x-0.333*x*x*x)

Using the bias of course brings the addition of a DC blocking filter to the filter's signal path. That's not a big deal though, a simple 1st order filter at cutoff 10 Hz should suffice.

Just finished this one!

Now, let's move on to the next one!

Hi folks, we finally have a new build # 1.9.9.14

You can download it from the same link as before.

In this build we have the following updates:

1. NEW: Partial preset dropdowns now have a menu item called "Reset to Defaults" which is used to set the section values to its defaults. Might be useful to reset osc, filter, lfo, adsr, etc... settings.

2. NEW: Knob controls support Ctrl-Click, Shift-Click now. With Ctrl-Click, the knob value can be reset to its default value. With Shift click, the value can be edited in a better (fine) resolution.

3. NEW: Mouse wheel support for knob controls: Now values of knobs can be set using the mouse wheel too. Shift + wheel also works for editing control vlaues in a better (fine) resolution.

4. FIXED: Using the mouse wheel to change discrete control values such as the "# of waveforms" crash SynthMaster.

Happy testing, and preset building :)

to 2.) if i did no failure reset to default works by SHIFT + Click and the fine setting by Ctrl + Click. That's opposite to your description. :o

Those new features are very useful by BTW. :)

No problem, the only important thing is that it works. :)

Ok, I have 2 samples:

The first one is rendered with a wavetable of size 1024:

The second one is rendered with a wavetable of size 2048:

The second should should obviously sound "brighter". Should we stick to that one ? (I mean use wavetables of size 2048 internally?)

It's strange that the wt size actually alters the pitch itself
I really can't say anything, I actually meant that I feel some kind of 'alias' or I dunno in most of the wavetable soft synths out there

Anyway when listening to it a few more times, the 2048 sounds less 'muddier'.
I just hope it'll make a great raw oscillator sound. And do you see any future of Zebra-like oscillator fx? (Maybe less and more useful ones)

Actually, the wavetable size affects low notes. The fundamental frequency for wt is samplingRate/tablesize -> notes below this frequency will sound "muddy", as linear interpolation is used.

I dont know about Zebra-like oscillator-fx? What are they? Any useful?

Damn! I cant access you tube! Banned in my lovely country. No kidding, dead serious! That's a real shame:

No youtube? Hmm I'd be an anarchist there for sure

This is a wav (44,1khz if im correct, 16bit) of different saws compared, and normalized
Synthmaster, Komplexer, Largo, Shioitor leaked beta, Audjoo Helix, and Zebra2 in this order. I'm just curious how the raw oscillator sound can be improved
As you can hear the latter 3 is in the 'same' sounding group (Zebra has some more sub)
The synthmaster sounds surely different than all of the others, maybe that 2048 will downpitch it to the others

EDIT: I forgot, if you really have trouble with youtube and stuff, use proxy servers. I won't describe how, find instructions on google.

You are right. the last 3 have obviously have "aliasing". But the first SynthMaster sounded right to me :)
