regarding the CC output, unfortunatly you are right.
Instead of muting the CC and Note output together, the CC output gets activated when mute is on and deactivated if it's off.
We will fix this asap. We plan to make an update in the mid or end of the next week mainly because of this issue. If you found other bugs please report them so we can fix them together.

Sorry for this really stupid bug.
i wish you an eloquent sunday ;)

Regarding the midi CC issue, i can confirm there is a problem with Live 8.0.4 (for me at least). The data from the performance lane is fine (pitchbends etc) but theres no CC output from the modulation lane. I was using it with an external synth and thought that maybe that was the problem but when i tried with a soft synth i got the same result.
I hope this can be fixed very soon as it's the only thing that's holding me back from buying
It's a confirmed bug: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 53#3719153

Sometimes I'm just wondering what's the average IQ around here :hihi:

Okay, I think I get it. At this point I don't think it's what I'm looking for. However it looks like a very innovative and well thought-out device. I now understand the difference between MIDI effecting and audio effecting. For example the typical trance-gate effect is performed on audio - either by an insert plug like CamelSpace, or by an lfo within the synthesizer itself, such as synths like Vanguard, Gladiator, and the like. I believe I'm looking for the latter - I create the chords and melodies, then I want to apply rhythmic audio effects to them. That would lead me more towards an effect like Camel Space, as well as certain arpeggiators, whether built-in the synth, or external. Nevertheless, Eloquence will remain on my radar. Thanks for putting up with my learning curve via my posts in this thread.

This video about using Catanya Arpeggiator with Cubase is very similar to the steps required to get Eloquence to trigger a separate VST synth. The only difference is that you wouldn't record MIDI data on the Cubase MIDI track for Eloquence. But notice that once Catanya has effected the Halion One track, the user erases both the Catanya MIDI track, as well as the VST instrument track for Catanya. Thus Catanya was a tool used to create a certain MIDI clip for playback in Halion One. Once that task was accomplished the tool (Catanya) was put away. This could be similar for Eloquence.

Yes i know it's a confirmed bug. I was just relating my experience
Thanks for the link back to the post i qouted.

Mindmatching wrote: But aside from setting a long gate time or play a chord on each step, the plug is a monophonic step sequencer and you cannot trigger two notes at a time. So your drum example would be impossible to programm
Then i'll just have to use more that one Eloquence sequencer and send them to the same midi channel and abuse it to create complex polyrythms that otherwise would take ages to program :D

Now I only have to find a way to do the skip steps, and control the amount of random trigger, and than it could very well be the sequencer that i need.

I want, but the IAC routing workaround in logic means I can't record midi from eloquence and have it still be in time... Only route it direct to another AU, stopping me from editing it...

I know, not really Sugar Bytes' fault at all, but it means eloquence is no longer on my radar until I can afford either Kore (to act as a subhost inside of logic) or ableton live (I'm undecided as to which of those two routes to take...)

Ludwig - it would seem that you need a different tool to accomplish this. Remember, this is all MIDI. To build up chords one note at a time seems excruciatingly painful. I figured out the same thing last night. Eloquence is a mono sequencer. I still plan on using it at some level, but I see that I'm not going to be able to create chord patterns with it. Too time-consuming.

isn't consequence supposed to be the arp and chord one?

But can't you do chords with the Performance?

Yes, but most likely they will be pre-defined chords which would remain static. Again, as Mindmatching said, it's a mono step-sequencer. So you could take a minor 7th chord, for example, and move it up and down in pitch and change the velocity, gate time, etc... But you couldn't create a chord progression and then have Eloquence effect it. This is hard to put in words but I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Have you seen the chord sequencer? It's the third one in the performance section and delivers 54 chords to choose from per step!

Otherwise, Consequence might be right for you, it delivers 16 slot for individual chords with up to 8 notes each.
