Hey, just got online.

I'm testing 1.9.9.16 with Reaper in a couple of minutes, I'm on dialup right now, so it'll take me a while to download Reaper

As for unison, I'll look into that!

As for fine editing knobs, use Shift+Click. That'll let you edit parameters in x10 resolution.

It would be interesting if the VST version of 1.9.9.16 would work in Reaper since it's not working in Ableton Live in my case (Even with a "fresh" install). I already wrote this in my post above. The first version of Synthmaster 2 beta in which Live could not recognize the VST on startup.

UPDATE: Now i'm really confused. I remembered that i have the Reaper demo installed. The Synthmaster 2 VST is running in Reaper and MiniHost but not recognized in Ableton Live 8.0.4. The Standalone is running fine too.

Nay, I know about the shift click. I was saying that there should be bigger a area for the click required for the vertical linear mode. Or just need a switch somewhere hidden to switch between the different knob modes.

Also, the center area which when clicked activates the vertical linear handling should be extended. I have to aim like a sniper to just increase things a little bit.

This is a recurring request. Please, please, please do something about it. Did I say please?

I am running the latest beta and it plays two semi-tones higher, which means that, to male it play in tune, we have to lower the pitch by two semi-tones. Anyone else? I am running it in VST Host, but I don't think that matters, since I compared with other instruments, even SM 1.0.5 and all others play well.

I am seeing the same problem with the VST running under energyXT2.5.1

I'll test it with Ableton Live as well. Why do hosts behave differenly

Hmm, Francesco should be asked to let his work included in the further versions. I can only get some KVR profiel info about him

UPDATE: PROBLEM SOLVED !!

I deleted the preferences.cfg file of Ableton Live (found it now) and on the next start Live scanned all plugins again. Now it also found Synthmaster 2 beta !! The VST now also works when i add folders to the user waveforms. Looks like after some crashes in version 1.9.9.15 Ableton Live did a kind of "quarantine" of the plugin.
Now i have to reenter some serial numbers and authorizations...

Looks like in Live 8 they solved the problem of lost serials when deleting the preference.cfg file. They are all there !!

Hi Bulent,

Was not sure of certain bugs when I was on hollydays because I only had a very crappy laptop.

There's definitely a Big Bug in the Mono Legato mode : It "seems" to bypass some parameters of the layer enveloppe volume stage, or there's something weird in its conception.( Cos it handles release parameter but not attack)

Try the following :

new ---> Default skin

Set attack of the layer volume enveloppe to 60%/Max value .(ie pad attack)

Turn Mono Mode on for layer 1 (btw the mono mode is always a bit glitchy, with weird noisy artefacts). The attack parameter is handled and the attack is still delayed. Now turn Legato Mode On : The attack parameter is no more handled, and the instruments play as if its attack was set to minimum (ie percussion attack) There's no way to have a delayed attack in mono legato mode by moving the attack parameter again, once the legato mode is engaged.

Now the weirdest thing , try the following : If I now set the Sustain parameter to Zero, I can hear again the "delayed" attack.

So I think theres a misconception in the mono/legato implementation :

This is how mono/legato should play : Note on X : Engage enveloppe from the beginning. If there no overlapping enveloppe, then enveloppe will continue to the end. If there's an overlapping Note On Y, then the Y note will continue playing to the end, from the current enveloppe point reached when note Y was hit, or until a new note is hit legato( X or Z, but no Y gain wich will reset the enveloppe) and so on until there's no overlapping notes.

This is far from beeing the case atm in SM2, making Mono mode a bit tedious to handle, and the Mono/legato mode totally weird and useless.

I hope I have been clear by describing the bug, if not dont hasitate to email me and I can send you the different versions/stages of the preset that I used to find to reproduce the bug, but if you follow predisely the above you should (hopefully ) be able to reproduce it without problems

Btw the possibility to tune the OSCs by semi steps using mouse wheel is just awsome Thanks and

After some further explorations : Seems the note off parameter definitely doesnt reset the enveloppe to the beginning in legato mode. (if it can be of some help in the bug tracing .........)
