In Mu.Lab browser(s) when you click on the icon to open a folder it opens downwards which, is OK until you reach the bottom of the browser window, but then you need to scroll down manually to see the content of the folder. It would be nice if Mu.Lab would automatically scroll the content up until the last item from the opened folder is on the bottom of the screen, or if a folder contains more items than can fit, the content would scroll up until the opened folder gets to the top.

On the subject of the browser, do you have any plans for a kind of universal browser Jo?
I'd love to see something that would integrate projects, sequences, clips, samples, MuLab component presets, VST presets etc. in one place. Big FR I know, but I'm just curious as to your thoughts on something like this -- you've no doubt already considered it.

Yes, it's the plan. In fact it's kind of one of my personal FRs. (without going into details at this point)
But i do want to build up MU.LAB step by step, not rushing it because that could be a risk for its future developments. Because changing things is much more expensive than building things from scratch.
With M3 i especially try to further increase the usability of the existing features.
(M3 also includes serious code improvements and though these code improvements may not be immediately visible in the end product, they are important for MUTOOLS' future developments (not only MU.LAB))
With M4 i hope to effectively extent MU.LAB's functionalities.

Considering what you said above, we're just curious about upcoming products....mutools wrote:Euh, what's the concrete question?

Producing only a single product (in a highly competitive field) is too dangerous for MUTOOLS.com, commercially-wise.
So i want MUTOOLS to be open for all kind of challenges/applications/commissions related to audio/music software.
And i also want MUTOOLS to differentiate its own product range.
Concrete plans of new MUTOOLS products: It's the intention to release the MuSynth and MUX also as VST plugins.
Strengthening MUTOOLS will also strengthen MU.LAB of course.

Ah, very interesting. Good move IMO.mutools wrote:Concrete plans of new MUTOOLS products: It's the intention to release the MuSynth and MUX also as VST plugins.
I hesitated on this FR a few weeks ago, figuring the fundamentals are far more important at the moment. As these are your plans: would you be able to add the ability to modulate hosted VST parameters with the inbuilt components? Having to use extra MIDI VSTs, when there are perfectly good components for the job already is a bit clunky, and a shame when the ability to host VSTs is so powerful.
Another FR I was holding back for MUX / Musynth was for a step sequencer comp.
