I did the same (though I only demoed Isone very short time.. about a minute) and found exactly the opposite. It's not about realism, it's about results. Red Line Monitor does not get in the way at all. I think trying to simulate 100% the monitor+room+headsize+ear is the wrong way to do it. It's much more effective to try to understand what makes mixing on monitors superior to headphones and then add these benefits instead.
Another problem is the room simulation which is way too prominent and doesn't sound at all like a well treated studio room, at least not in my experience/opinion.
Having said all that.. can't really comment because it's impossible to demo Isone. Who knows, maybe after a thorough calibration the parametric HRTF stuff really works.
