Just loaded K3 and Elektrik and compared. It's absolutely the same clav (well, maybe Elektrik Piano version has more layers etc), except that in Kontakt there's additional cabinet modeling adn reverb FX applied.
But I agree that it's pretty mediocre :P

You are right...my bad. However, there seems to be a lot more going on in the Kontakt one, better scripting maybe.

Hey dickie, here's 1 that I got.
My favorite clavinet is in there, as well as other really good keys samples.
It's got soundfonts, as well as other formats.
Really good stuff.

Oh..btw. If you have Zebra2.3 or the demo of it. You could try my presets in my sig.
Those patches include 4 clavinets I did.

Someday I wanna buy a real clavinet. I love that sound.
Cheers. :)

In defense of GSI, VB3 is hands-down the most authentic organ sim I've used and I have NI B4II, B4, Logic's EVB3, and a Nord Stage. Key word: Authentic. The "aliasing" Jancivil is talking about is actually rotor noise, and can be shut off globally. Real Leslies have noisy motors and this is just another example of how authentic VB3 can be if you want it. Also, If you've ever heard the chorusing on a real organ VB3's is completely authentic.
I don't think Jancivil is really looking for a real B3 organ-every parameter any organ ever has had can be adjusted on VB3. You can even change cabinets. This plugin has been my secret weapon at all my gigs. Big nod to Mr Ray 73 also.
well, I'm too simple to use it then. If I can't right click and get a learn function and automate things like swells and drives without having to figure it out, it's a clunky interface as far as I am concerned.

If I were recording an organ, I'd get rid of the noise, it isn't musical. Authentic IS what I'm looking for, but thanks for the mind read try. But, there's a line for me of what noises exist in real life you want to mock up in an arrangement and what is just silly. And a BIG FYI, in the real world back in the day, the producers and engineers were always at great pains to get rid of noise which detracts from the music. Rotor noise, or no, it sounds totally synthetic and like total crap aliasing.

The GSI rhodes is fantastic. The Kontakt 3 library clavinet with the tweakable scripting isn't going to be beat by a model using this kind of rudimentary GUI, I'm confident.

I fail to find any download links (on the company website that is). Any hints about where to click?

I have Garbage Band, and I believe it uses the same instrument clavi in it as Logic.
I agree. It is better than any other one I've heard.
I like adding that wawa effect to it too.

Here's another link for that dl, plus another keys sample set.

The one in GB has a much reduced feature set.

I really beg to differ here. Too clean organ, as you posted, sounds sterile and lifeless. Adding some noise and grit adds realism to those.

And that rotor noise doesn't sound nowhere near to aliasing, really. And you can turn it on, if you're a purist. But that's disrespectful to the sound of a real Hammond.

For god's, sakes, Guido even modelled the CLICK when you switch from slow to fast Leslie!!!

Also, you CAN right-click on every parameter in VB3 to get to MIDI Learn. Seems to me like you haven't spent much time with it at all.

It's brilliant.

...regarding the Scarbee clavinet I would wait a bit. As far as I see it there will be repackaged Scarbee libraries for the Kontakt player. Considering that NI sells the new Pre-Bass (former Blue Bass) with VAT included (Scarbee sold excl. VAT) you might save a little already. But if you have Komplete you already have Elektrik Piano and its Clavinet is quite good (even the Wurly is OK - the Rhodes are really crappy)...
