Rob, don't let one idiot spoil it all.... I can imagine the frustration mate but how many people "haven't" let you down?

You're well known around here now and the work you do is simply fantastic. I still want your latest Sylenth set (i have all the others + Predator) so i hope you can help me out :)

Don't let that sh1t head get the better of you! :?

Bestest, Paul

Yeah, don't give up Rob! I know it's disheartening but these things happen sometimes, unfortunately. I think when running a business one should be prepared also for the bad sides. Anyway, I'm sure that you will win the dispute, just send everything relevant to paypal and mention the intangible goods thing that somebody already mentioned. I know it's a hassle and might take some time but don't let it make you down! Keep on rocking! It would be bad to lose a talented sound designer

hi paul

many thanks for the heads up.i have no idea at all why the guy would do this but it's done,iv'e sent another email to him to explain the problem but still no reply anyway just pm me about the other stuff you need no problem.

i still have my sounds at producerloops for the time being anyways.i thought my sounds were selling cheap enough as it is for this to happen and i never had one complaint from any other user so there you go mate.

like i said in an earlier message here, im just relieved that it wasn't a £1000 synth i sent the guy and this had happened, all the same it's a bit sickening regardless of whether it be £1000 or just £50.

only thing is i can't answer is why buy different soundbanks weeks apart and not complain straight away?
im baffled but anyway thanks alot :)

cheers

Rob

no nice story :?

Paypal is not really a good choice as seller. With ShareIt you would be have less such problems. And your buyers have more choices for language, payment etc...

don't give up rob. i have purchased your predator soundset (like that a lot) and was really looking forward to your twin 2 and subboombass soundsets (i was already checking kvr for release dates for these).
cheers

Hi Gosh

The Fabfilter Twin2 bank will still be released as this is a factory bank commissioned by Floris of Fabfilter so it will be sold by them only.

I need to think after that one is complete (around 2-3 weeks) and see what to do next.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob

Seriously. Don't give up making or selling soundsets because of one bad experience. I'm pretty sure most sound design and software companies have had more than a few similar experiences from equally distasteful people. Don't let one guy (or even a few) spoil it for everyone else. I suppose it's just one of these things you need to be aware of when selling online.

Cheers,
Colin

Thanks Colin

The worst thing about it is that i had just transfered all my paypal funds to my bank account and had about £5 left in paypal and now with the dispute im in the red :( now i have to transfer funds back in there to cover this as my paypal account is now showing minus.
To be honest i don't need the hassle mate,i know there are a few rip off artists floating around the web but at the end of the day what pisses me off most is that if the guy had of said money was tight or something i would have sorted him out with the sounds no problem till he had the funds as iv'e done this for a couple of users here.

anyway let's just see if he reply's to my response i just gave to paypal..

cheers

Wow... That sucks, Rob. :(

But seriously, don't let that stop you from producing sounds.

You should just shame him and send him all your banks for free and tell him you wish him the best. Just an idea.

Put a "Donate To Pay for Cheapskates" button on your site, and we'll all donate to cover the loss.

I'll donate, and I don't even own your presets. I'm just waiting for the future Zebra preset collection. :hihi:

I might be getting Sylenth with my new mac, so I'll want those presets.

Hi MCnoone thanks for the offer :) it's not about the money it's more annoying that a buyer thinks i ripped them off or something.
Iv'e always come up with the goods with everyone who i promised stuff here.
It's more about my reputation than money in my opinion.

i was just doing an excellent promotion for this weekend as the dispute came through :( i had all the promo in place to sell all 512 presets from all my soundsets for £12 for the bank holiday weekend.

now i can't do it on my site due to this...i could only sell them through pm's here at kvr by giving out my paypal so i'd know exactly which user was who.

thanks again i would rather have donated the guy a free soundset than be tarnished in this way.

cheers

and iv'e no idea why
A person has to define why they are putting a transaction in dispute. There has to be a reason that both parties are aware of.

I'd suggest reading up on the very helpful dispute procedure texts at PayPal, in order to make yourself aware of what is happening, and what your options are. It will empower you I am sure.
The person has emailed me again and added the following:
Hello, as I said. I didn't file a dispute. Suddenly I wasn't able to use my Paypal-Account anymore and got an E-Mail that all my transactions were cancelled but there was no mention why! Of course I will pay you so please send me your bank account information. This wasn't on pourpose! And also don't stop making sounds!

so what has this to do with me that paypal take funds back from me because of problems with the buyers account?

anyway i have pm'd the user here and stated that all i want him to do is close the dispute and just keep the soundbanks that he has.
it's not about the money and maybe it's not your fault but it's not mine either.

thanks

Rob
