So everytime you struck a key and release you go through one step. It could be a nice addition to note hold when you want to modulate.

Mod Mapper can do what you want, it's just friggin' tiny!

Hey Urs, any news on Filterscape?

Yes, rumoured it is. But not anywhere close to be finished
no matter... take your time and do it right... in the meanwhile 2.5 is impressive and the updated filters and new xmf modes already add a new scope of driven sounds

Is there going to be a public beta of 2.5?

so fingers crossed :)

Now I am completely lost :) How do I tweak eg. Filter Cutoff or Osc's pitch with them? The window is very tiny, it is a bit difficult to draw the step values. Any techniques to draw accurate on each step? I tried with a large screen, Zebra all over the place :)

Set a mmap as the modulation source for your parameter, set an amount of modulation, then set the type on the mmap as "Alternate".

And.. there's no help for the tiny!

:P

I think I've also found a way to make Arp Presets (finally!).

But these things will certainly have to wait till V2.6. I really only want to finish final additions, fix some bugs now and then bring it out as soon as possible.

;) Urs
Arp Presets, that is great stuff :) Faster tweaking.

Bring the 2.5 on Urs, more workload now and you will get delayed with the latest release :) The steppin thing was just a little thought, and maybe I can achive the same result with the Modmapper. Have not tried that yet.

Thanks for your help Kodama :) I will follow your advice tomorrow and see what the Modmapper can do. This is a new tool for me, and 128 steps * x Modmappers? It should keep me busy.

Yep, those mappers work a trick. I've used them to simulate the voice panning spread of the Oberheim OB series or the PPG "Basis" parameter. Also for making the filter cutoff vary slightly with each key press. In non-alternating mode, I've also used it for things like making an EQ band dip come in only in a certain key range where things might otherwise get harsh-sounding. I'm sure there are all sorts of uses for them that I haven't thought of.

Here's one I stumbled across a while back: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 58#3498558. :)

Yea their great!
I used them on alternate, and modulated the Formant filters vowel(drive) parameter, on a few vocal-choir patches I did in my presets. So every note played gets a different vowel.

you can also make a number of discrete states for specific vowels
