Oh btw. I have an init patch with - (minus) mark before the name so that it always stays on top. But the thing is that in 2.3.3 it doesn't appear in the preset window (everything other is there). Is it the same way in 2.5?

mybe it can be misunderstood, i ment i can not confirm this on mac either in Nuendo nor in Cubase 5..at least on my Mac..zvenx wrote:sorry on a pc.Urs wrote:Very interesting. YEs I know one would not do undo or redo with a freshly loaded instance before doing anything, but I was trying out to see what each button does and it crashed Nuendo 4.

let me go try it on cubase 4 on my mac.

I'm not quite sure... why don't you just use a space?chaoticz wrote:Oh btw. I have an init patch with - (minus) mark before the name so that it always stays on top. But the thing is that in 2.3.3 it doesn't appear in the preset window (everything other is there). Is it the same way in 2.5?

just that users who created skins will be able to update them with the new features if they wishbagginz wrote:Okay good but I'm not quite sure how this relates to my post above.pdxindy wrote:users can still update and create new skins for Zebra... for example, you would also not get the new 12 slot mod matrix (which Urs didn't even mention!) with one of the old skinsbagginz wrote:+1 Much faster to scan and isolate the module one wishes to edit.Echoes in the Attic wrote:I like the new gui, but the only thing I would change would be to add a slight color shade to the different modules to be able to easily tell them apart (I'm so used to the dark horse skin). Ex. Oscillators one color, Comb another, filter another etc.
Also the new shiny metallic modules are also not easy on my eye.
Personally I prefer something more subdued, especially if I am going to be staring at it for a long time. Because the synth itself positively invites one to explore and delve deep into its creative possibilities, it would be nice if the look did the same... But that's just me.
There again, perhaps this is all splitting hairs after all the great new signal processing stuff that Urs has crammed into this release
Cheers

cheers,

EDIT: Also, if you are not changing the actual layout, just adjusting colors is fairly easy... I already changed the dial colors away from green to orangish. I might also color the different modules

sorry, can't be bothered to post a screen, but the matrix is now a tab at the bottom (like arp page) with 3 high and 4 across and it is a great improvement!!chaoticz wrote:How does matrix look like? Somebody post a screen

Does anybody know if you can keep Zebra 2.5 running in 2.5 mode even when you load a preset?
It keeps going to 2.3 mode, but I'd rather just either have it toggled always 2.3 or always 2.5
thanks

I agree that an option to leave it in 2.5 mode would be good. I was going to request that too. I think it makes sense how it is now generally though, because once you have many presets made under both versions, you'd probably want it loaded as it was intended as the default. However, it would be great to have the option to 'lock' it as 2.5 ( I find I keep checking patches in 2.5 mode but I have to change it every time).
thanks
This is what I'd like to do. I don't want to change the shape of modules or layout at all, but I'd just like to modify the colors of the modules a bit. How would I go about this?pdxindy wrote: EDIT: Also, if you are not changing the actual layout, just adjusting colors is fairly easy...
