I go for
1 Bend of gypsys
raw powerful with good texture.
2 Aah
well balanced for short and long notes nice timbre.
3 Piercing lead
this was just beaten for 2nd because I thought it could of had more range in the low velocities but I really like the grit.
Just missing the podium was Vintage Lead becuase of its classic genre. All good stuff!

My favourite three:
1. Saint & Sinner
(Big and intriguing - very interesting things happen when you bend the pitch down slowly).
2. Origami Sunset
(Lovely and atmospheric, reminds me a bit - please forgive the heresy - of Omnisphere).
3, Zap
(Sounds like a very dynamic and ballsy EP to me - and therefore very useful).
I have to add that ALL the entries are of sterling quality and it really was very difficult to pick out the best three.
Kind regards.

1. Piercing Lead
2. Band of Gypsys
3. Aah...
To be honest, it was harder to order these three. I had a lot of fun noodling around with all of them.
I love the format changes on Aah, and it is amazing lower down. For me, Gypsys caused the most reaching for the pitch wheel. Piercing lead took the top because the slightly off-ness really caught my ear.
Good job by everyone though. I wish I hadn't been stuck in Minnesota on a farm without my keyboard, or I would have submitted for this one too.

I reckon that everyone who's going to vote has done so by now, so we might as well wrap up for this contest.
I've been keeping a rough running score and it looks to me like Aah.. wins this one, with Bend of Gypsies not too far behind in 2nd and Saint & Sinner in 3rd.
Here's the list of patches, their authors and respective scores (I hope that these are correct - let me know if I made any errors here).
Thanks everyone for taking part and for all those who voted

As you're already uhbikified, how about Filterscape or MFM2 instead?

Well, you can pass it on to the next one who hasn't got Uhbik yet, if you want...hakey wrote:Thanks Urs (and elxicano, metajack). I'll have to mull it overUrs wrote:Cool! Congrats hakey!![]()
As you're already uhbikified, how about Filterscape or MFM2 instead? If I'm really honest, I'm not sure that any prize is deserved this time
. I think I already took more than my fair share with Bazille! (which was an absolutely amazing prize
).

If I won (which was a longshot) I was going to auction off the winning license on the Market with proceeds going to the winner's charity of choice (provided Urs was ok with that).
I know it sounds cheesy.

Yes, although I really am very sorely tempted by Filterscape, I think that you should offer the prize to the highest scorer who has not won a prize in the previous contests.Urs wrote:Well, you can pass it on to the next one who hasn't got Uhbik yet, if you want...hakey wrote:Thanks Urs (and elxicano, metajack). Next time, if I'm lucky enough to win another of these contests, I will be taking the prize
