anybody know of any good freeware wah wah plugins? i just tryed searching the database but it brought up like a thousand results and i went thru a few pages and couldn't find any

i'm just looking for a simple wah wah with all the normal parameters and a decent GUI (se plugins with cheesy windows 95-esque guis irk me for some reason even if they sound great) its a pain running whole amp sims just for the wah wah cause even then the cpu hits pretty bad on single core, i figure theirs gotta be at least half a dozen decent freeware wah wah's its a simple enough effect

these guys have a cool, free wah pedal emulation. they actually have a lot of neat stuff there (try channel). all of the free stuff is at the bottom of the page.

pretty much any filter plugin with an envelope follower and a mix knob will do the trick. If you want a guitar style wah you probably will want it to be able to learn midi so you can use a pedal. i use vaz modular alot for this. the classic auto filter from kjaerhus is good also and free.

that's why I like the air windows wah, it's like a guitar pedal: just hook it up to the mod wheel on your keyboard and go nuts. not a lot of options on it, just like a crybaby pedal, it's basically a glorified tone knob.
