As far as asthetics go, can the real release have an option for the older skin as well. The skin that is used is tough for me to see when the highlights are done to append the efx and so on (bypass or not). The brown, I think, was cool of Synthmaster1 in the pics.

I just downloaded beta 19. I noticed a lot of distortion on the presets. I have to take the master volume down to 32 (and in some cases even lower) to remove it. I am using Line 6 Pod studio UX2.
The collection of presets is very impressive. I haven't had time to try the VST yet.

Try deleting your existing "Presets" folder, and then extract from the rar file again. I re-arranged the presets into folders based on the author name and also decreased the master volumes.seismic1 wrote:I just downloaded beta 19. I noticed a lot of distortion on the presets. Well, so far we have around 100 "pro" presets. That number will go up to 500seismic1 wrote: The collection of presets is very impressive. I haven't had time to try the VST yet.

+12db? at my presents i must turn the layer volume down to 15%kv331 wrote:Folks,
We are glad to announce our new build #19.
In this build, we have the following updates:
1. FIX: Mono mode works correctly for separate layers now.
2. FIX: When vocoder is on, CPU spike occurs when notes are released.
3. FIX: When saving existing presets, the preset is saved to the root folder if it existed under a subfolder before.
4. UPDATE: Output Volume level is raised by +12 dB. Due to this change, preset volumes are adjusted. Also, presets are categorized under subfolders based on the preset Authors. Please DELETE your existing Presets folder before extracting the archive file to prevent duplicate presets on your system!
5. UPDATE: Total preset count for SynthMaster reached 167.

I renamed the directory containing Beta18 (Synthmaster2.0Beta) to Synthmaster2.0Beta18 and recreated the Synthmaster2.0Beta directory under Program Files before moving the extracted rar contents (Beta19) to the new directory. I am seeing the distortion with presets that were not included in Beta18.kv331 wrote:Try deleting your existing "Presets" folder, and then extract from the rar file again. A low priority request. When I save a preset (for instance) there is no visual indication that anything is happening. How about colouring the Save button to indicate that it has been activated?
BTW, how can we send in presets?

Just finished the basic LoFi implementation, now it's time to add pre/post LP filters to it. I'm even going to add a "resonance" parameter for the post LP filter, because in D/A converters the reconstruction filter after the sample and hold section should have a response with some resonance!
Tonight will hopefuly come the LoFi effect. After that comes the Distortion. Initially, the distortion will have predefined curves as in v1.0, so that will speed up my implementation. I'm expecting to finish basics of the distortion tomorrow night.

Hi Bulent,
Seems that the mono legato mode is almost 100% accurate now though :
I think the release time keep on altering the mono mode, where it shouldn't anymore. Changing the release time of the amp enveloppe ( ie increasing it) will prevent the next notes to be retriggered in mono legato mode. The release time whould be excluded of the Legato handling function (ie only attack, decvay and sustain should be included)(or to explain it more precisely : If a new note is hit legato during the release stage, it should reset the enveloppe to attack stage )
Else a more tricky and probably difficult FR to include if possible :
MSEG : Could it be possible to add a Snap to quantize option. (ie moving points will quantize them and put them exactly on a location in a "grid" ) Else its very difficult ( ie read almost impossible) to make the MSEG fit the tempo at exact quantized locations.
This would really be a nice addition, allwoing to use the MSEG like a kinda stepsequencer, but with far more flexibility.
Thanks for reading,
Cheers,
LtZ

I have just downloaded the SynthMaster2demo, trying to run it in Live8, nothing happens, only a loud pop and then cpu usage goes to 90 % no sound no matter which preset i try. I then deleted it and reinstalled ( copied to my vst directory ) and tried in stand-alone mode, it worked fine, then back to live8, again a loud pop, cpu usage 90%, closed live8 and tried stand-alone again, and also there got only a loud pop.

this is a kind of weird FR but please dont include more presets before you are near a full product release
fix the important issues first and THEN include presets
