I know I know, I'm lame for being sooooooooo late to this party. I flirted with Zebra for years. Everyone said it was the best. Deep down, I knew it was the best. But I have a bunch of other synths...Sylenth1, Z3ta, Sytrus, Ableton Live Suite, etc...

A couple of years ago, I even sold my Virus and got a dinosaur coupon. And yet I sat on it for years. I think part of my reason for holding off was that I just didn't want to get something new when I had knew I had barely scratched the surface of what I currently had.

But after years of trying to create sounds and not achieving it...years of struggling with the UI of synths, and still not getting that lush warm sound I'm after, I finally decided to give in and get Zebra.

So yeah, I'm lame for being late to the party. But welcome me in anyway. And point me to the beer. Thx.

You can drink as much beer here as you want as long as you *burp* so that it's strictly audio related drinking.

Where's that OSC import tool? I'd like to single-cycle sample my beer burps and turn them into Zebra OSCs.

Post

I can't work on that right now, I'm building a quad core supercomputer so fast it finishes even before I tell it what to do.

Welcome to the party. There's nachos in the kitchen and a keg. It's an awesome time to come in as 2.5's a motherfooker. I guarantee you'll dig it. I had a Virus too and there's not a day I miss it.

Have you checked the link in here for wave 2 zebra? http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 21&start=0

I couldn't get anything to work when I first tried, but that was when looking at Zebra seemed like wanting to climb Mount Everest with a bad leg. I'll give a try myself later on and work on the beer burps patch if you don't beat me to it.

Well given that this is the end of the holy month of Ramadan, with Eid on Sunday, I don't expect a lot of beer drinking this weekend, so you do it, and send me a Live Rack. :P

nah, too busy ripping The Beatles remasters! Then I'm going to listen song-by-song to compare the originals to the mono versions to the stereo versions. Woohoo! This will be a test to see how long the girl friend will put up with this obsession. :hihi:

And please... no more Group Buys, Buy 1 get 1 free or save 50% off deals! I'm already considering therapy for my new found addiction. :help:

Deal, bro. I accept this mission. :D

^ You should do a post on the forum with the Spectrum tool for each Beatles song, mono vs. stereo. I'm willing to bet that will start a flame war. I'll then join in and discuss how much better PCs are over Macs.

Post

I'm going to start a flame war thread discussing whether flame war threads are a good thing or not, and then conclude it by saying I don't have any idea if they are or not and I don't care.

Post

^ Just saying that if you did that, it would make more sense written on a PC than on a Mac.
