Thanks for the info, but I did just answer my own question as in I missed the part about fx pluins must be freeware as both the plug ins I mentioned are not freewaretattiemannie wrote:Sorry abstractcats, I'm not familiar with Camelspace or bigseq, so I cant give a definitive answer right now ... and I have to go get my sh!t together for a gig right now ... hopefully another OSCer or two can help re. interpretation of the rules with regard to these tools, and keep you right.
I'll hopefully have a bit of time tomorrow to look into the issue.

Neither Camelspace nor Bigseq are freeware, so that probably rules them out. Camelcrusher is free, but that's a whole different kind of plug. Some of the Smartelectronix plugs do similar kinds of things (ish) and are freeware. AraldFX has a freeware trancegate (Stormgate1 not 3).tattiemannie wrote:Sorry abstractcats, I'm not familiar with Camelspace or bigseq, so I cant give a definitive answer right now ... and I have to go get my sh!t together for a gig right now ... hopefully another OSCer or two can help re. interpretation of the rules with regard to these tools, and keep you right.

Ok, its back again, kind of fixed... I had to record the output from my host onto a laptop and re-import the resulting wav file. Oddly, playback in Tracktion was fine, rendering the track with FretKeys on it just didn't work properly... oh well. Nothing to write home about anyway, just having fun ( ish..)wriggleruk wrote:Thanks for that. No way is the guitar coming outtattiemannie wrote:No probs wriggleruk, I'll take it out, and you can reup when the track is fixed.![]()
... ok, it's out now .... I left the notepad, so gimme a shout if it needs to change, and I'll take that out as well ( ... like if you decide to replace that telecaster guitar part![]()

)
Cheers for taking partJust have to find a way to make it work!

OK, no huge outstanding issues as I head off to gigland once again ...cool!
I've been working a bit more on that multisampler thing (see page 3) as a candidate for this comp's participants prize, and it's very nearly finished!
Gonna release the basic version as a freebie in the next couple of days, and hope to tempt folks towards OSCs with a description of the extra features in the OSCer's version

I just up-loaded a song for the contest but I'm not sure I did it correctly.
Can some one help me out here?
Thanks

Title of Track - Artist Name ( in that order pleeeze! ).mp3
So in your case that would be : Sputnik_002 - Hyperspace Drifter.mp3
Maybe tattie can change that for you.

Halloween?.. Surely Gargoyle fits the bill perfunkly. Plus it is far happier doing non musical stuff.. plus it is ancient nowtattiemannie wrote:mrblitz000, yeah you're absolutely right! .... no bloody upload link!! ... dont know how, 'cos all the settings were exactly as they should be!!... anyway, I've saved the settings exactly as they were, and it now appears to be in order.
Sorry to hear about your difficulties MA-Simon, good on ya for persevering ... I hope the workaround doesn't overly compromise what you're trying to produce ... good luck![]()
Mouxbar, I think I agree with your entire post there re. Krakli stuff! it occurs to me that the comp after this one will be the Halloween comp![]()
.... and to me, EZ-Poly sounds perfect for scary, creepy stuff

Cheers for the suggestion ianwebb123 ... we'll keep Gargoyle in mind for the Halloween comp
I've not tried that one, so I'll give it a whirl soon for sure!
Re current comp, I still haven't got very far ... still working on this QuertySam plug .... just about to release the basic version, but a good bit of tweaking and additional features sorted out for the participants prize version ... I'm loving it!

I was thinking, with just a bit over two weeks til the closing date of this comp, a week of voting, and the usual couple of days between, its gonna be well into October by the time we finish up with Sputnik.
I reckon we're gonna have to launch the Halloween comp ahead of that time in order for the voting period to coincide with Halloween.
If I launch the next comp on the same day as this comps' close of entries ( 7th October ), and limit the timescale to 18 or 19 days ( as opposed to the usual 3 weeks ), we could aim to have the vote from 28th Oct to 4th Nov... with Halloween bang in the middle of that period.
How does that sound?
If we're gonna do that, then we need to get a bit more input re. which synth we will use.
EZ-Poly and Gargoyle are looking good, so if there are no further suggestions, we still need to decide which of the two we go for .... so lets hear ya

So we start on the Halloween osc while voting for the submission in this one? That makes sense to me, I say we do it like thatIf I launch the next comp on the same day as this comps' close of entries ( 7th October ), and limit the timescale to 18 or 19 days ( as opposed to the usual 3 weeks ), we could aim to have the vote from 28th Oct to 4th Nov... with Halloween bang in the middle of that period.

Gargoyle eh....the synth from hell (or so they say
Never tried it, can we even get anything even remotely bread and butter sounding out of that one?
