Hehe, it's actually now funny to see that many people who were before "against zebra" maybe because they perceived it as too hyped (even if it never really was) and popular because many people liked it, are now finally getting it. Not talking about you Rob, specially.

Somehow I saw this coming already when 2.0 for windows was in the works.

Urs, can you clone yourself and go to work with Logic for Apple? Just give them the finger to the bosses and fix a few things.

Isn't Urs his own boss already? :)
Just let its Sound do the talking: http://www.synthmaster.com/

- inv/PWM (adds an inverted waveform, makes pwm out of sawtooth)
- Sync On/Off
- Phase Reset On/Off

These were previously hidden under the phase tab and are now easier to access... same as the multi-osc selection which previously was buried in the mix tab
Dumber question: why do we need a sync on and off when we can just dial sync to zero?
Anger is a sublimated desire for control.

When Sync and PWM are off, the oscillators revert to less cpu hungry algorithms. Also, things sound slightly different in Sync even at zero because the extra phase wrap is still performed.

Here's the new beta:

http://www.u-he.com/Z25b7Win.zip (VST Windows installer)

http://www.u-he.com/Z25b7Mac.zip (AU, VST & RTAS installer)

A detailed list with new features and and things to check out will follow later.

New in beta 7:

- Duophonic mode now also respects global transpose settings and microtuning
- XMF has its smooth FilterFM back
- Arpeggiator really fixed now... I think
- Windows gui a little less bright...

I changed the gamma factor in teh Win version... those who thought it was way too bright, is it still?

Can anyone still reproduce the bug that did the "ducking effect"?

Does it still crash?

IMO the synthesis page is still a bit bright but the other two pages look fine to me :D

Maybe...I got it just once with HS Conepusher, but I can't reproduce it.

The XMF FM sounds good to me :)

Do you have a cpu that doesn't do SSE2 maybe?

And what exactly happens, and when?

Thanks for the new beta, works beautifully so far. :hail:

The latest beta loads fine for me in FL Studio 9 demo. Core2Duo E8500 @ 3.16Ghz, 3.17GB ram, XP SP3.
