Hello Everybody,
I'm a complete newbie to MuLabs. I try to play its instruments with my keyboard and there's no sound. The midi input monitor doesn't show anything either.
1. It plays when triggeerd with midi notes from Mu Midi Controller (virtual "keyboard") - so MuLab does respond to midi messages.
2. Logic "sees" the notes from the keyboard - so it sends the note-on messages and they reach to the computer.
Does anybody have an idea what can be wrong?
My setup is: Mac Mini, Snow Leopard, ESI RomI/O II midi interface, Yamaha PSS-480 as a keyboard (non-usb, midi out connected to RomI/O).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Marcin

make sure you have selected your keyboard as the input device in mulab's midi settings. also, try right-clicking the instrument in the rack and selecting it as midi input target.

Thanks, bpblog. I think I tried all of that with no success... and then it suddenly started to work. Don't know why - I tried so many things, set-ups and options that I didn't notice what made it work. Thanks for Your suggestions

Sometimes it helps to switch the Midi input to "none" (in the Midi Setup menu) and switch back to the keyboard. Or in addition switch the keyboard off and on again while being in the "none" mode.
Don't know why sometimes this is necessary.

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!

It's very probable that it's what I did. Thanks.Eggu wrote:Sometimes it helps to switch the Midi input to "none" (in the Midi Setup menu) and switch back to the keyboard. Or in addition switch the keyboard off and on again while being in the "none" mode.
