Dear NuSofting/Luigi.
Thank you very much for all your help with HarpTime - version 111 WORKS!! Thing is, I'm not too sure why.
I swapped it with the FUN version in my DLL folder so it was the only version in there, to make sure there weren't any conflicts going on. Still froze everything. So I got my soundcard's - M Audio Audiophile 2496 - control panel out and tried swapping things around a lot - and suddenly, SUCCESS! No freezing on either ASIO or native sound drivers.
This is where things, for me anyway, get puzzling. Y'see, after making it work, I wanted to discover WHY the settings had worked. So I made a note of all the new settings, then changed them back to the original settings that hadn't been working - and it STILL worked fine! Restarted the computer to make sure the original (and supposedly bad/wrong) settings had been picked up on by Windows and my software - and everything's still perfect. So I'm flat puzzled. Not that I WANT things to be wrong, I just don't understand why they suddenly went right for no apparent reason...
Thank all of you very much for helping me with this, especially Luigi. I'm very touched with the amount of help he's given me. It's a great plugin and I'm going to be using it a lot!
I'd happily change that review to say this but - and this is my prob. because I'm really bad at websites - I can't spot what to click on to edit the review. If someone tells me, I'll do it!
Yours with great respect to all
Chris, a.k.a. ulrichburke

Wow, just read your review.
Since you asked, why not post in "Site Stuff" to find out how to edit a review?

Seems like the extraordinary effort put forth on the part of the developer could be rewarded with a little extra effort on your part, if you're willing.

Hi ulrichburke,
I'm glad it works, but since I don't have access to your PC I can't say why as you ask, one of the things I changed in the code is the resolution of some variables, it could be that Manila CPU had trouble with that, but it's just a guess,
to change the review simply login to KVR as usual, go to your "review"
http://www.kvraudio.com/user_review/924.html
and at the bottom of it you should see the Edit button
please do that soon.
Remeber that this forum is always here to help, and it's advisable to write a review at least after one reply, anyway for next time.
Thanks,
Luigi

Luigi, is version 111 better than the one I have?
If so, may I get a copy of it?
