I'll go with any system participants are happy with ... personally though, I would prefer a simpler system than the monthly contest one, or the eurovision system.
In the Eurovision, each country's vote is decided by a panel of judges rather than a single person, which I'm sure makes it easier for them.

I always find it hard to pick a winner out of even a small selection of entries .... I cant imagine hard it would be, having decided who gets the 10 points, to then decide which of the remaining entries gets 9, and then 8, and then ... etc.

But I could fairly quickly come to a position where I identify a small number, perhaps 4 to 6 tracks which, for whatever reason, stand out.
I would then be quite at ease concentrating on these and either deciding how I share an allocation of votes ( whether it be be a maximum of 10, or any other number ) ... or rounding those 4 to 6 candidates up/down to 5 and allocating, lets say, 10 to my fave, 5 to second fave, then 3, 2, and 1.

It would also simplify the vote count :)

... But carry on discussing .. more suggestions are very welcome.... it would be good to get it right in the view of the majority of participants.

Personally I think a top three ( Gold, Silver and Bronze ) would be doable.
Your favorite, the runner up and the loser. :hihi:

Keep it simple :

13,7 points for number one.
5,3 points for number two.
1,6 points for number three.

Sorry..

Three points 4 number one two 4 two and one 4 three.

Easy as 1 2 3 .

:D

Or 10 ,5 , 1.

ha ha Yeager, you had me worried there!! :hihi:

Cheers for the input. :) ... any more?

...... and indeed, any more tracks on the way?? :)

Ho tutta la tua ignoranza che mi cola dallo schermo  E' l'assoluto del kitsch musicale mondiale, una sorta di Sanremo superamplificato a cui partecipano tutti i paesi europei - da noi si chiama Eurofestival.
Vergognati.  :D

Not exactly a word-by-word translation, but yes, that's the general sense :D

Post

By the way, how come you know Italian? :o Anyway, try and translate this, if you can:

- Tì che te tàchet i tac, tacum i tac a mì
- Mì tacàt i tac a tì? Tachetei tì i tò tac, tì che te tàchet i tac!

:D :P

(not sure you'll be able to visualize the stress marks and some letters)

Everytime I check this thread it has changed direction and turned mysteriously strange  I'm not even gonna try to keep up with you guys  As for the voting rules I'm pretty much content with the usual poll system. One of these days, I'm actually hoping to recieve a vote too :hihi:

Actually, with the "points" system more people would receive votes, and the voters wouldn't have to choose only one entry, which is always difficult...

True. However, I'm more in it for the challenge than the votes (as I'm sure most of us are when it comes down to it) I'm learning new stuff every time I participate in the osc's and hopefully I'll continue to do so.
Gargoyle scares me though

I agree on everything - votes are nice, though (it's part of human nature, after all  )

Ehm maybe I can try to do something with Gargoyle anyway no one replied to my question! :x Is it allowed to freeze tracks? Since I switched to echo layla I didn't find a way to make Sonar work properly so I have to freeze everything...
