Eh?!?

How do you come up with Friday? It's two days *plus* all the other work...

Post

Urs, we are joking :-)
We are just anxious...:-)

It was as, a quote I once saw on a forum, "pull it out of my ass maths" :-)

Hehehe, sorry, I'm a bit stressed out today

Post

After Zebra 2.5 will you take a break (you deserve one) or you'll start working with Uhbik-X? (or other stuff)

BTW, thanks Urs for all the great work! :tu:

Post

Holiday? Break? There is work to be done after 2.5.. like you said Uhbik-X for instance...
don't give him ideas :-)

The only thing worse than having a boss is having an Internet full of them.

Just remember that we love you, Urs!

1. Using the default patch, turn on legato solo mode

2. Hold down a note with your left hand, play a note on and off with your right, like a trill.

3. Now switch to 2.5 mode, do the same and compare.

In 2.5b7 the first note I play with my left hand is much louder than subsequent notes (and no, not just because the attack portion of the envelope is only triggered with the first note)

In addition, the rest of the (non re-triggered envelope) notes appear to be randomly uneven in volume.

This happens in with Zeb 2.5b7 in both Live 7.014 and Live 8.05 so appear to be unrelated to the Live 8 update.
Urs,
whatever you changed in 2.5b9, has fixed the above problem with legato mode in Zebra2.5b7 here. :tu: (host: Abe. Live v.7.016 and 8.05)

Also fixed is the cpu increase problem that I experienced and posted in this thread a while back (which appeared to be somehow related to a Live 8.05 update)

I ran the same Live projects that were previously good but which were overloading the CPU after Zeb 2.5b6; no problem now - sorted :tu:

However, there is still some weirdness with the e.q block when using Live as the host.

Though selecting <configure> controllers in Zebra's Live device interface, then de-selecting <configure> stops a second e.q band jumping to the same frequency value as the one being moved, and is an effective workaround for now...

Cheers,
bagginz

I've been working on Uhbik and Berlin Modular in parallel. Uhbik-X has some tricky parts that I pushed a bit back into the future, but Uhbik 1.1 featuring Uhbik-G is even a tad more imminent than Zebra 2.5. Whenever a new beta pops up you can be sure I'm working on something else, waiting for the responses to come in ;)

I'm hyper-active currently because Grrrl and I have planned a 3 months trip to Australia. In that time I'll concentrate on user manuals, video tutorials, maybe a bit of webdesign and a bit of development. I can't however do serious graphics stuff or research there unless I rent some serious gear (which I'll do if I have to...). It's not a holdiday trip, but merely an escape from the depressing mood of Berlin winters. So until then, everything must be as finished as possible.

(and actually, this year I want my updates finished *before* x-mas, not a week or two later... for the first time...)

Cheers,

;) Urs

We're going to Melbourne... my wife's got her family there...

Thing is, it's summer on your side of earth while it's winter on our side, and we don't like winters.

Ah.

Be careful though, we had the worst fire season here last summer, esp in Victoria. And they're predicting an even hotter summer this year. But the meteorologists say that every year... :?
They've already had some fires recently, and we've only just exited winter. :-o

The thing is it's true. Australia is drier and drier every year.
How cool it would be if the whole continent was rolling hills, mountains and forests. Instead it's mostly desert, and a flat desert at that.

Now back on topic

Yeah, we'll probably stay close to the bay though. I think we'll be fine unless the electricity network collapses.

We've been thinking of buying a little place that we could rent out while we're in Berlin, but d'oh... what if it really gets much worse? So we put that idea on hold.

Maybe one should look into the tropical zone. Somewhere around Cairns maybe...

wow. have you taken a look out of the window today? greyest city in the western hemisphere i'd say. i wish i was an independent designer of cool software instruments named after striped animals 8) ...(instead of being a productive member of the modern finance/services economy our city needs so badly - as mr. sarrazin would probably put it). now back to work. have fun in down under :)
