Made it crash my live
I was using a 2filtered wavetable morphing pad with 2lfos (modulating wave index and the second (BP) filter
When I was browsing wavetables for the 2nd oscillator, it crashed with a frozen repeating sound. (There was ongoing midi)
Thanks! I'll take a look at this one. Martin (Cyforce) reported the same one. So maybe it happens when there's a playing note. Will check out..

EDIT: I WAS ABLE TO REPRODUCE THIS ONE :D FIX IS ON THE WAY!!!

YES, finally we have a new build with important fixes 8)

v1.9.9.26
1. UPDATE: Our preset count has gone up to 428, thanks to our sound designer Brian Xenos Lee  Please keep in mind that some of the presets are still not normalized and metadata is missing information, but no worries we'll fix those in a couple of days! :)

2. NEW: Preset metadata is now categories under 3 categories: Instrument Type, Attributes, Music Style

3. FIX: Turning on Distortion effect with drive parameter maxed out might cause DC build up on output sound, causing SM2 to be silent

4. FIX: Saving a preset causes preset browser to forget the current selected preset.

5. FIX: SynthMaster crashes when loading a preset than contains segmented waveform data. For this fix we disabled loading waveform data from presets temporarily.

6. FIX: SynthMaster crashes when a wavetable is selected for a wavetable osc and a note is already playing at the same time.

7. FIX: SynthMaster now resets all engine parameters when a preset is loaded.

A USUAL REMINDER FOR BETA TESTERS: PLEASE DELETE THE PRIOR VERSION OF SM2 INCLUDING ALL FOLDERS/SUBFOLDERS BEFORE EXTRACTING THE RAR ARCHIVE :D

After a short look at the presets of beta 26 i found that only a few of Brian "Xenos" Lee's patches contain the information for the author in the patch browser. If you select "Xenos" as an author only a few of the many patches are shown.
The patches of Cyforce, rsmus7 and Xenos are missing the categories in the browser.

What did I say above:

"Please keep in mind that some of the presets are still not normalized and metadata is missing information, but no worries we'll fix those in a couple of days!"

Give us 1-2 days to fix that as it takes a lot of time to edit metadata.

As you'll see now we have 3 different types of categories:

1. Instrument type
2. Attributes
3. Style

This way we'll have a better way to define a preset. It could be a Bass preset, could be additive, analog etc... and could be for different styles...

The default things you've mentioned aren't changed. Like the Filter Drive, easy controls modulation, and so on...

Sounds very good... hopefully all bugs are now killed :D

rectus_dominus wrote:Easy controls are important because they can be easily used when controlling Synthmaster remotely from the sequencer or using a 8potted controller. As this synth aims to be a musical tool, it needs to be as hands-on as possible. A lot depends on this, I believe.
How can the Easy Controls be used from the sequencer :?:

I have tried the "Easy 1" thru "Easy 8", they don't seem to do anything sound-wise. :?

Also I would like to use CC12 thru CC19 for the Easy Controls, but that does not appear to be possible :(

Mainly I map Ableton Live racks and midi stuff. If you don't Live as a sequencer then my problem, I was writing misunderstandable.
Easy controls mean that you can control multiple stuff with only 1 knob. Like doing complete sund morphs and others :P

I tested that, it does not work if I change the value of e.g. "Easy 1"

I'll change the defaults for eazy controls tonight along with the normalized categorized presets.

If you set the modulators for eazy controls to nothing they work. Since they're modulated by CC22-29 by default they seem to have no effect.

Nope, closed in the moment I saw the unchanged default settings :P
I'll make it crash for sure in the next week, as I'm going home today and at home i don't have my daw

I'll change the defaults tonight. Will fix the preset metadata as well.
And maybe the mono+legato envelopes. There's still a minor issue with those if there's note off and note on very quickly...
