I'm totally stunned by all creativity here. Impressive is just not enough after what I've seen.

But it makes less sense to share skinman works, because they will mostly be for a specific plugin....

Thought I'd give the thread a bump with one request and some pics.

For the requests, would it be possible to make a browser for library objects? I have been storing thing to the library and reuse them, say for example I have a knob with a particular type of background image and I want to carry that across several files or reuse it in another project, it would be cool if I could just grad and drop that rather then have to open a file and hunt for it. It would also be wonderful if the shapes menu was free to move around as well.

For the pics, I have been try to make some hardware looking GUI's for myself and others, tends to work well as long as it a single pannel interface and limiting the amount of decoration per how many knob, text, and textures I'll need. The first pic was more stable the the second. I have experienced problems with the one shown in the second pic, Skinman would end without any warning, it would just disappear, I would also have constant exe and run-time problems as well, it would happen with copy/paste, hide/show, or moving one layer beneath or above another. It became impossible to do it in one file, I had to do the background in one file and the parameters (knobs, text etc)in another. I was able to load the parameter images into the file with the background as a library object after it was done but I couldn't adjust anything if I did it would crash. And they are 100% knobman/skinman except the one switch which is done in a 3D app (silo & Blender).

Would love to see what other people are doing in this direction as well.
