hear:
In the very start, there are some really mean sounding metallic/dark/revers-ish sounds going on. You can hear them clearer after 1:40 for a while. Not too bright, not too cheesy.
Anybody have a patch like this? thanks!
Anybody know how to do metallic, trancey sounds?

Hmm, not quite sure what you mean. There's a sound like a sample of guitar with feedback distortion. On a Virus you'd crank up Osc1->Osc2 FM while Osc2 is in Sync. On Zebra you'd use the "Scrambler" OscFX and adjust to taste (give it a bit of modulation for some dirt) and maybe use that as a modulator for an FMO.

The (plucked) sound after 1:40 sounds like a rapid chord with sharp attack, no release in the envelope, saw, square waveform Oscillator based?GMusic wrote:hear:

The FM and Combo modules are best for metallic, plucked sounds, just experiment and you can come up with almost anything.
There are several patches in zebra which demonstrate trance sounds. If you want a phat sound, run 2 Oscillators in Duo, Quadro mode with a saw waveform. Then detune the Oscillators. Add much reverb and delay (your taste). You can altso experiment with the brilliance mode in the Oscillator.
