No problem, just a few notes:S.HUSH wrote: Yeah really. The drums are weak, the vocals are so-so (prefer the lower tone to the higher one) and the overall song isn't that great IMVHO. *BUT*, it's a metal tune so cheers for that
...and dismiss my opinion as just that. I'm really picky with metal to the point I even dislike the metal stuff I do on my lappie, so it's nothing personal. As I stated above, I feel a real drum set with that human touch and powerful vocals are the key ingredients for a good hard satanic blood bath metal tune. That and a mic'd VHT cabinet using 421s
* It's more along the lines of black metal, which I've been doing since the "second wave" of BM around '93 ( I did DM before that). This short little song was written and recorded in less than a day (on Friday).
* The drums were recordings of a real drummer, not a plug-in or drum machine. (I used betamonkey stuff for this one).
* Back in the day when I was opening for guys like Death/Chuck Schuldiner, Incantation, etc., we didn't have much access to laptops nor did they have a problem with my bands doing metal "right".
