This is what I was looking for.
Thanks!
I ordered the V-Machine, I am sure next week I'll have hundreds of question about setting it up :)

You guys are probably right, but it seems that as a simple sample playback machine, with no cpu heavy virtual instruments, it might actually work, with a lot of set up time.
On the other hand, do you know of any other VHS tape-sized box that does this?

Like a woman would tell you...size isn't everything!

That's how I use it live and it works perfectly so far after some initial troubles that came from Samplelord ... not from the actual V-machine.
While I agree the VFX software is definitely the weak link in the chain, configuration time within VFX is close to zero for sample playback VSTi's.

I got the V-machine + Samplelord for about the price of your typical used, bulky, heavy, ughly and outdated hardware AKAI sampler that wouldn't even load half the sample length of the VM anyway. A no-brainer in my book.

Hey!
Could someone help me with B4 II and V-Machine. I've tried to transfer the plugin into V-Machine for days without good results. I've tried to edit the wizard file of the demo version. I've tried the one wizard file from this topic. Didn't work. V-machine says that it can't find the dll and in some points it's says there's a unstable plugin within the v-machine. (there is nothing but B4 II). I know nothing about those wizard files so I really don't know what I should edit.

For help open a support ticket here.
http://smproaudio.helpserve.com/
you should not edit any approved wizard file as they have been tested to work. If you raise a ticket I can see what the problem is and also help you to learn the wizard language should you wish to learn.

If you ever have an issue the first thing you should do is read the 'readme' that comes in the zip with the wizard, this tells you what version of the plugin we tested and approved the wizard for as well as any special steps or known issues. If the plugin is changed in any way either by a different version or maybe you got the plugin from a 'friend' :uhuhuh: then the wizard may need some changes.

It should arrive any day now.
When using Samplelord and a usb stick, where I am supposed to store my .nki (Kontakt) files, and the samples?
Also does Samplelord have preferences, e.g. kontakt vs giga files?

Hello (sorry for my english)

I just sold my vmachine and the guy can not do the walking !
Let me explain: it installs vfx (latest version), then he wants
vmachine the format by pressing 2 times on the buttons "learn". He lights vfx then chose to format but the pc said then connect vmachine
it is already connected! If you have any advice I thank you takers
exploitation systeme: XP
anti-virus : kapersky

Sounds like they have or did have at one stage a logitech webcam.
http://www.pcmus.com/Logitech-USB-Midi-Conflict.htm
that link should fix it, and it happens with all usb midi devices.

Thank !! I try that

There's nothing to store manually : you load the samples in Samplelord (from whatever location) and when you save the plugin status AND the V-machine status, these files are automatically stored where they need to ...
Afterwards when you want to export your VFX config to the V-machine, the whole package (incl the actual samples) is transfered.

No idea for the format, I only use .wav files.
I know however that Samplelord re-writes all files in a homebrew format anyway when you save the plugin config.

As soon as I understand the right way to program the vfx files, I could put almost any plug in these little box. Look at these two videos on you tube, they are very explanatory for that task.Part 1:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF7 ,

Many plug ins run very well an others not, for example, y tried the korg ms-20 , but I was unable to use presets on v-machine, then y found a version of this synth for reaktor, and, to my ears it sounds bether than korgs plug in.

I have read what many guys have written, and I thing It is not so bad use our brains sometimes , and not to wait that another do it for us.

Sorry about my English!

Ok some questions please.

I just read the first 30 pages and my head is spinning! If someone could please sum this up for me?

I have a Macbook and thanks to Peter from Sonic Projects installed the beta VFX software on OS X. To my DELIGHT I was able to play some long lost Win VSTis I loved from back in the day :)

So Im interested in buying a Vmachine as a Win VSTi player but also as an FX box (Metallurgy and Glitch to name two).

On something like dBlue Glitch which takes its transport position from midi info - does this work?

Right! So I looked at the SM Pro Audio site to see if the stuff I miss runs on this little fella and LOTS do - Wusikstation, OPX-Pro etc. If the thing runs the plugins below - I'll buy one in the morning! The ones in bold are the deal makers/breakers for me.

dBlue
Glitch

A lot of these are light enough so I'd be hopeful. If someone had the time to reply as to which of these work on the VMachine - well, you'd forever be my friend! :hihi:

Thanks folks!
