some controlcentre multisampla instruments

Evening,

I made Multisampla patches out of some samplesets provided by a KvR-member called 'the controlcentre'.

The instruments are a baby grand piano, an upright piano, a Fender rhodes, a pennywhitsle, a fairly large set of percussion, an accoustic guitar, a set of ultra low sub basses sampled off a so-called 'Teisco 60' synthesizer and various assorted noises from that same synth.

Rather than being multisampled juggernauts, the instruments could be seen as a snapshot in time (some of the samples, such as the keyboard instruments, date back to a multitrack tape recorder and a Yamaha sampler in 1998).

Think of it as discovering a strange house in the woods and finding a lot of old instruments inside, waiting to work their dusty magic. My personal favourites are the rhodes and the pennywhistle.

So far as I can tell, you are free to use them in your music but you aren't allowed to redistribute (let alone sell) them.

For the instruments to be working, it is absolutely necessary that the samples be in a folder titled 'Controlcentre' in MULAB -> Library -> Samples.

If your sample directory of choice is elsewhere, you'll have to remap them by hand. I chose Library -> Samples because it's MU.LAB's default location.

The instruments themselves go in MULAB -> Library -> Multisampla.

Is there another way that this 'default' can be changed to use relative addressing so that Multisampla instruments could be packaged with the samples?

This would allow much better portability of samples and their instruments.

some questions about MULTISAMPLA Handling,
might be someone can answer:

1) When opening the MULTISAMPLA plug in,
I can see the patch list on he left (if view is enabled).
To my understanding each entry represents one multi-sample set
plus the overall control values
and is stored as *.MuSynth file in Library/MultiSampla directory.
(Default is the Drumset and Stand-In-Piano)
But how can I create a new set, only with the "save as" button ?

2)When I then open the "Multisampler"-detail-view (with the arrow button),
then I can choose between different "Multisample"s,
are they sub-parts of the *.MuSynth-patch ?
I do not understand the logic of entries I can choose from.
Seems to be a (random?) mixture of some sample-sets from the different patches.

3) When I then open this "Multisample" itsself,
then I see the keyboard where I can assign the single samples itself.
This is clear.

If I have done any changes I have to fix it by saving the patch itself, right ?

Indeed, it's a practical issue in M2.

The forthcoming M3 has improved behaviour regarding this.
