I'm sorry to upset the kvr elite, but this question has not been answered. Or it has been answered, but none of the answers has understood the question.
I was reading the thread late last night, and I have given the answers and bad tone a thorough thought. As I think this song is outstanding in production quality I would to read more about it. Beautiful chords, nice sounds and a great vocal. And great sounding drums and overall great sound quality. Sure Deadmau5 has made many tracks, and many of them sound the same but so do many other acts.
I got really frustrated by the attitude of most of the participants in this thread. I'm not a regular Kvr'er and I must say I was upset by the attitude. This thread is called "Sound Design
How to make that sound..."
Isn't this a place where people can ask others how a sound is made and the people who have the knowledge has the option to answer? And then most of the participants in the discussion are mocking the ops taste in music, claiming that this has been asked several times before and that he should use the search function.
As most of you know, a song can consist of more than one sound. The op was (as I understand) asking about the keys in this song, not the stab sound (or pluck if you like.)
I can recall that the stab sound has been discussed many time before, but this was not was asked for. The pad/key sound is something else, it sounds like a cross between some electric piano and pads.
I can see that asking the same question over and over again can pollute the forum, but what's the problem? Answers like those in this thread is far more polluting than a thread repeated several times.
I was interested in a real discussion on this track and peoples thought about the production technique, wading through hopeless rants about everything else is pollution, not some extra threads that you don't have to read if don't want to.
I really don't need to know how he made that sound, and I don't think any of the regualar kvr trolls even know how to make it, but I think you should let those interested in the topic talk about it if they want to.

I'm sorry I didn't see that. I blame the thread pollution (not the forum pollution, which I think is a different thing.)

On a big board like KVR you have to develop a "noise filter" when reading.

No Sylenth here. It'd be nice to see the oscillator shape and values, filters etc to see if I can do it in something else.cosmicdawn wrote:yes, proud owner of sylenthgustavokch wrote:Haha, no problem.cosmicdawn wrote:Great!gustavokch wrote:I posted a pack of presets covering both the pluck and chords if you haven't realized.

The pluck is covered in many synths, some a freeware, i'll redo the chords and something else and post it tomorrow.
