Urs,

no artifacts, there's still the 'x' flag set for non-exec files, but at least everything is writable for everyone.

It works for me.

About artifacts, I think I heard them with the 2.3 but don't know in what circumpstances, so I cannot reproduce.

Post

It's good I think it worked out nicely.

Next week I'll hopefully post a fix for Logic 5.5 on Win and Samplitude. I tried an optimization, but it doesn't work in these two hosts :-|

Any news regarding Samplitude? (same problem in v11.xx as in v10)

I tried 2.5b10 but all versions after v2.2 are broken in Samplitude here...

-sound in one channel only
-artifacts in sounds/presets, especially on preset switching
These artifacts are sometimes loud enough to blow your speakers/ears so
I'm somewhat reluctant to experiment too much until this issue is fixed.

Ok, Zebra has a problem with small ASIO buffer sizes it seems..

Version 2.3.1 works if I set my Lynx driver to 128 samples or higher.
I use 64 samples exclusively and all newer versions freak out at 64.

In comparison, version 2.2 works flawlessly even at 32 samples buffer.

Anyhow, this really needs to be addressed. Using higher buffers is not
really an option when you need low latency monitoring, and it's still
a potentially "dangerous" issue if you slip once and lower the buffer.

Hmm okay... heard something similar recently. I thought it was fixed long time ago.

Nevermind, will look into it.

(uhm, and it probably also means that Samplitude does not yet support VST2.4 properly... hmmm...)

Thanks Urs :)

I've been happy with version 2.2 so it was no big deal that I couldn't use 2.31.

However, it would be great to take advantage of the filters and patch browsing
features in v2.5. I didn't notice the 2.5 betas until a few days ago, therefore
I haven't brought up this issue again in the meantime.

I hope it's a relatively easy fix. In case it matters - the problem is identical in v2.5. It works perfectly fine at 128 samples ASIO buffer or more, but I get occasional LOUD artifacts (may stick until I re-initialize Zebra) if I go below 128 samples and switch between patches/presets.

All is well in Renoise! Any word on the "ACE-ified" Zebra GUI? :D
