This is purely speculative, as to my knowledge Melda are already tied up with platform ports, updates and revisions etc.

Just for a bit of fun, if Melda were to release a new piece of software, what would you like to see?

My personal vote goes for a new synth titled MSynth or something :hihi:

It would feature Medla's famous modulation system whereby each and every parameter on the synth is modulatable.

I would also see it being a wavetable synth with elements of granular and FM rounded off by Melda's entire range of FX built in!!! :D

What do you think?

Pat :)

Hmm, this could be fun. Vojtech has already solved quite a few of my problems with his plugins, but here is what i would like to see the most, listed in order of importance to me:

1:
Mhost - a simple instrument/effect host that i can load into Sonar, then load my favourite synth into it (Sylenth, Zebra etc), and use Melda modulators to change any parameter i like. Msynth sounds interesting, but i'm not sure it would compete with the top of the range synths, so i would love to be able to abuse all those other synths with Melda modulators. Would be great also, if i could load effects into the host, and then save the whole thing as one preset. Oh, and a built-in automation sequencer, so i could stop battling with Sonar's dumb automation.

2:
Mvinylizer - a scratch/pitch effect, much like Image Line's Gross Beat, that lets me zoom in to create intricate and unique scratch effects in a way that only Melda modulation can.

3:
Mmultiband dance compressor - a multiband compressor with sidechaining and modulation capabilities for manual sidechain effects.

That's a great idea!

I'd love to get my teeth into that one if it were produced. Sounds like a cross between the effects rack from Ableton and the Combinator from Reason, with kick ass modulators to boot! :D

+1 on the pitchshifter effect. MMultiband-Pitchshifter. That could be used for some extreme sound manglage!

You do realise that the freeware compressor allows custom compression curves. Surely this could be used to get some very 'rhythmic' compression on the go! :)

I use the custom mode to create upwards compression, but i never thought about creating pumping effects like that. The problem for me would be that Melda's sidechaining doesn't register in Sonar for some reason, so having everything pumping to the kick would mean that the kick would also have to go through the compressor, which is what i want to avoid. That's why the modulation would be great for me. It could act as a ghost kick.
Anyway, i've more or less got my sidechaining down to a fine art in Sonar, so it's not really a problem for me.

And yeah, Multiband pitchshifter. Sounds awesome.

Does this project by Wusik fit what you were thinking of...it's in pre-beta :hihi:

Yes, I know that's WUSIK and not MELDA :D Just that what you said reminded me of that project.

Cheers and Ciao,

It's all about the Wusik!

Hey folks,

thanks for the ideas ;). Anyway next plan is:
1) Mac :( (I really think Apple users should finallu switch to Windows :D).
2) A few things for MDynamics, MFilters... suggested by users and you ;)
3) Meanwhile other plugs from MCreativeBundle
4) A few things for MDrummer (e.g. MTotalPercussion 1 package)
5) Well, there is a nice idea I don't want to talk about ;), but it is gonna be huge, so I hope it is gonna be soon :)
6) Your ideas 8)

I'm watching for the multi-band saturator myself.( feel free to pm me when it's done)

harmony tool for quality vocal harmonies!
not too many choices available!

I like the Mhost idea. Some place to run my instruments live (and do crossfade or combination patches made with various different vsti's). Kinda like what Wusisk was doing- kinda like Omnisphere's way- kinda like Kore. But more like Melda.
Oh, and for Mac.

Msampler would be cool.
I Like what the sampler in Mdrummer does.
Music is the best

Another +1 for this!

I will also put a +1 for a vocal harmonizer. I have an old Korg ih which is fun to use- and the vocoder on the R3 is killer. I would also add some added features like gender changer (I am impressed at the quality of the gender changer vocal effects in Garageband for example- I am a darn good female singer if I do say so myself).

Another thing i'd like to see, is the ability to morph between the A,B,C etc, so it works as a preset morpher.
Maybe two boxes '1' and '2'. And we can assign any of the A,B,C etc into those two boxes, and use one envelope lane to go completely over the top on sound mangling.

Or even simpler:
A single A/B morph envelope, so we can morph between the first two sets, and use C,D,E etc for backup/comparing.

Is there a drum synthesizer that can be used in conjunction with the regular kits?
