Today i got an email which should contain the new license file (since the old one doesn't work anymore) but no file was attached. I sent a reply about this by email.

+1 (Although in my case, using the word "studio" is a bit presumptuous.)Sofine wrote:Alot of users (myself included) deliberately keep their studio PC's off the internet for security, so if you were to introduce this, there should also be some FTP / offline way to keep up to date and get access to presets.kv331 wrote:Folks,
How do you like the idea of an "online" preset browser? Right from within the plugin interface. Users will be able to browse online presets, download them, etc?
Would that be a good feature for 2.1 release?
I'm not overly fond of apps that make unrequested jaunts onto the web looking for things to distract me from what I'm trying to accomplish. If you do it, definitely provide a way to shut it off.

Do you mean the general announcement email? Or the one we send when you request for v2.0 license? In the general email announcement we didnt send out serial numbers. In the email we send out when licenses are requested we DO send out the license key file as TXT attachment. However some mail programs see the TXT attachment as plain text (i.e. not as an attachment)Ingonator wrote:Today i got an email which should contain the new license file (since the old one doesn't work anymore) but no file was attached. I downloaded Beta 29 earlier. I spent about 2 hours playing with presets and loaded an old project I made with an earlier Beta. Looks good to me. This will be a GREAT product. Congratulations.

I updated the build last nigtht (my time
)
So just get it
The final build will be on Sunday.
I have a couple of questions for the final build:
1. Should we include an installer?
2. Should user files (Config, Presets, Resources) be written to:
\Documents and Settings\All Users\KV331 Audio\SynthMaster
What do you think about the above?

BTW we need your help on one important thing: We're going to be making banner ads and we need to find banner slogans for SynthMaster. What should we emphasize on those ads?
Your help is MUCH APPRECIATED folks!
THANKS!

It would be better if one could place a shortcut or an INI-file pointing to the user folder. That gives one the freedom to place the user files anywhere ...kv331 wrote:2. Should user files (Config, Presets, Resources) be written to:

Ye, +1
No particular reason as such, but I hate it when one does an install, and the installer asks "Where to in stall", I say c:\program files\vstplugins\XXXX ... and then 3 months later when I happen to go to my \Documents and Settings\All Users, I find random bits of crap I uninstalled ages ago. I favour VSTs and other progs that put stuff where I tell it to, and doesn't mess with anything else. If I want something gone, I want it all gone. Not saying there's issues with SM2.0, or anything like that, just a personal preference.
Cheers!

For me the unique selling points are:kv331 wrote:BTW we need your help on one important thing: We're going to be making banner ads and we need to find banner slogans for SynthMaster. What should we emphasize on those ads?

The sound!
Customiseable GUI / features
Modulation / routing (kind of reminds me of my old Alesis Andromeda routing)
Arp / seq PER layer
Ease of use
Relatively low CPU consumption
Low price

It's the email for the serial number. It contained no file, also no text inside the email. BTW i forwarded that email to the support email address.kv331 wrote:Do you mean the general announcement email? Or the one we send when you request for v2.0 license? When i got the first serial number (the time when i purchased Synthmaster 1) this was no problem.

And another little-bug, present-browser. With every build-update, i deleted the "cyforce"-presents folder of this build and replaces with my own(where all build files included) but the sm2 shows the presents 2 times(one the real-names "LD Example1 CYF" and the old build names "Fact-T LD Example1 CYF"
