Ah! But you don't end up owning a product made by a company that:

1.) Makes promises about updates to your product that never seem to surface.
2.) Locks you into a over-simplified user interface.
3.) Caters to the lowest common denominator.
4.) Doesn't communicate well with its customers.

Perhaps you have never owned a Muse Receptor.
