just as I had decided I didn't need more instruments, the camels have a group buy on alchemy, and urs releases ace. it is all an evil plot!
in all seriousness though, ace is a fantastic synth. thanks for the hard work, urs!

Love it Urs!! Seriously - its competing very well soundwise with VAZmodular.
Can i ask for a suggestion?
The patch cables are fantastic and very clear to see - except the 'Grey' ones sometimes
(to my eyes anyway)
Would it be possible under the current colour palette you've chosen, to have them as say....Pink? - I dont think that would clash with any of the others...
Thanks

Locate the file Scripts/ACE.txt in either ACE.data/Data/ (Windows) or ACE.bundle/Contents/Resources (Mac show Package Contents on the .vst/.component/.dpm)red37 wrote:Love it Urs!! Seriously - its competing very well soundwise with VAZmodular.![]()

Open ACE.txt in WordPad/TextEdit
Change the line COLOUR name='WireC6' rgba='afafafff' to
COLOUR name='WireC6' rgba='FF8080ff'
Save
Done!

Any tips I should be aware of to keep the CPU low?
I managed to make a patch that uses 50% of my CPU (poly, playing chords) with seemingly little cabling; you can't build an AMD machine more powerful than mine so I'm really pushing it
The sound was great though.
The presets seem to be well optimized and great sounding too. That's my aim. Seeing I'm not a world class sound designer with intricate knowledge on the inner workings of ACE, what things should I bear in mind when I start to build up a patch library? I want the sounds to be phat as possible, but usable (just like the preset library). Any tips would be diamond.
Thanks in advance.
