how to control artillery keys in cakewalk project 5?

well it appears to be not the most popular host, but I'll try for a fix on this issue. It appears impossible to be able to both process audio AND control by midi simultaneously in P5. dropping as effect onto instrument is ok for processing vst audio output, but no midi control. However,dropping on to a midi track I can remote access artilley keys but can't seem to route audio. No audio inputs are visible from what I can see. I've tried changing from istrument to effect and back again in artillerys vst properties but nothing??

mmmmo k .. some times later, configure 'Active Controller Technology' to just about any parameter via learn from parameter and then knob tweak, something like novation automap I think , a'focused controller then. Nice.
