Hmmm, I have played with it 2 hours last evening, and no problem...mutools wrote:Euh, no.
Can you give a step-by-step for how to repeat the problem?
I will test it again and again, and let you know...

I have tried again to reproduce the freeze problem with my midi plugin.
But no problem for the moment.
Well, it's not exactly the same version as before but the only change I 've made is to hide the plugin parameters.

MU.LAB 3 uses a new improved strategy for handling VST MIDI output. It's possible that certain problems will be gone. To know for sure, we'll have to try it out.
MU.LAB 3 will soon become available in its first test version, first to a limited group of people.
If you're an experienced music software user and you're not afraid from bugs and crashes, at the contrary you can logically narrow down when they occur, please join the test group by letting me know your email address.
Thanks!

I have done a new version of my midi plugin : I have only cleaned the source code by throwing away some comments and parts of the code that were not used : now, my plugin don't work anymore in Mulab (and only in Mulab).mutools wrote:MU.LAB 3 uses a new improved strategy for handling VST MIDI output. So I'm curious to see if the changes in MU.LAB 3 will fix the problem..

I see that you're in the test group so that's good.
The first M3 test version may be expected one of these days.
(getting closer and closer

Jo,
Generally speaking MULAB works with most VST/VSTi plugins.
There is one plugin that I sometimes use "Sonicbytes ERA2". This is a step sequencer type plugin that sends midi patterns out to a receiving VSTi.
It works fine in Cubase, XT2 and Live.
But I have never had much success with it in MULAB.
It is probably related to the way MIDI out plugins are handled in M2.
I will check it out in M3 beta/test when released.
Do not worry about ERA2 for now it has been discontinued. I run it in Cubase and then export the MIDI patterns to MULAB if I need stuff from it.
You never know it may run better in M3 and that would be super but not essential.
(Sorry - my mistake you still can buy it from SugarBytes).
