How much the theme weighs on the voting in any given month is always open to question. Some people vote purely based on adherence to theme, some vote purely on how much they like the song itself regardless of theme, and most, I suspect, vote somewhere in between.robojam wrote:I was just wondering if the theme was really that relevant to this month's contest as it didn't seem to be.
The only thing that's close to guaranteed is that a song that is enjoyable, well-produced, and on-theme has the best chance of winning. The contestants that do that well tend to win more frequently.
