Is there any way in Zebra 2 to control the velocity cure?

Let me explain: There is a particular preset that I want to use but ideally it sounds just right when it's triggered using notes with a velocity of 1 or 2. What I really want to do is to be able to hit the keys as hard as I want but limit the velocity going through Zebra to 1 or 2.

Also is it possible to scale the dynamic range so that the entire velocity range was compressed into 1-10 rather than 1-127?

The velocity curve on the setup page of Battery shows exactly what I mean.

Cheers,

Simon

You can edit the velocity/gain curve for each oscillator... Would that do it?

What host are you using?

I think what you want to do is, go under "more OSC1" tab at the bottom of the gui. Look to the left side and you'll see "key scale" and "velocity scale".
You can try adjusting the velocity with those.

Or you can use a separate midi program to convert the velocity data from your controller as you play

Also check the envelopes and how velocity is assigned to them. Don't forget to use [+] to check to see if any of the envelope stages have custom velocity settings.

If you're using Reaper, it's very easy to scale midi input to any VST. Just load up JS:MIDI/midi_velocitycontrol. It supports a variety of ways to change your velocity curve.

Cheers Guys,

I knew the curve had to be somewhere (ie on the OSC page) and that works perfectly. Yes I realize that I could have set something up in Logic's Environment but this is a much simpler more elegant way of doing things.

Thanks again guys,

simon
