Hi,

The free version has been ready for some time and offers +/- 30 stereo polyphony (Amber Lite module with one piano preset). As soon as a new firmware with the functionality it depends upon is made public we intend to release it.

We'll review feedback from people using this version to get some additional insight on what to potentially improve/change for the full version (other than having multiple modules with multiple presets). One great thing about the three additional full version modules is that they offer up to 45-55 stereo polyphony, depending on the module loaded, which I think is quite amazing for this little device, especially considering this includes having the optional reverb active.

The engine as well as the modules for this version have been remade from scratch specifically for V-Machine and offers 2.5-4 times the performance (depending on the module loaded) the current Windows/PC version does on the same hardware.

Regarding pricing, details will be made known when the full version is released.

Please consider making a MONO sampled piano too

I have a question and a suggestion.

The question is: is it possible to bypass the plugins on a channel? From the front panel? Via Midi? I seems to me that it's not possible.
For example I have a piano on channel 1 and an organ on channel 2, and now I'm switching between them by changing midi channel on my controller (which is a pain).
It seems to me that it would be better to keep everything on the same midi channel and to be able to activate/deactivate plugins from the front panel and with the midi learn function, like the receptor does.

So the suggestion is: make it possible wiht the next firmware, it would be more convenient and useful to save cpu resources!

Instead of a forum, smproaudio has the following...

1. A ticketing system.....

2. A knowledge base full of articles ......

great.... but it doesn't work. Reason: the answers to problems are private not public. You then decide what to put on the knowledge base and what not, but your opinion differs from ours...

for example, I had a ticket about problems trying to import a free plug. You discovered you had an error in your software (license related... for a free plug!!! go imagine) that had to be repaired with a new firmware... well, I'm still waiting for the update (last one was in February?). Don't you think other people also had this problem? I dont see any info about this on your knowledge base.

And, how often is it suposed we have to look at the knowledge base to find new info?

the ticket system is a failure
and so are closed helpsystems + archives

i asked about DBLUE-Glitch pluging weeks ago,
i got 1 reply that had no answer in it.
To which i replied back and never got a word back.

And that's all, i still can't use that plugin.
Although it is mention as a "working" plugin in the list.

I did get many other FX Vst's working though, however they ALL suffer from latency at processing incoming audio.
128s is just too much when running the box with external, midi sequencer.
Maybe it is acceptable for key players, but in a synced midi-chain it is too much latency.

Hope the new stuff coming ahead will sort this out.
Else it will be no different then the whole long road that pc + audio cards had to go through to become what they are today.

Anyway , my 2 cents:

bionrg: I searched the ticket system and did not find your user name, nor any tickets which matched your discription. Can you login into our ticket system as then all your posts and our replies are shown in a forum like display. If the blank emails are part of a spam filter at work, or you have used a different email to what is registered in our ticket system then they are two possible reasons why the tickets you speak of seem not to exsist. If you log in directly this should allow you to work as you would in any forum. Making a new reply will place it at the top of the list.
